Dog does that, wife thinks it's cute... I do that and she pushes me away. I don't get it...
This is a real photo of my dog. We went away for a week and my parents dog sat. Apparently this is how he spent the week. 😢😢🤣🤣

How did he respond when you returned? Like seeing a war vet coming home?
We just got in, so my wife is picking him up tomorrow. He actually love it at my mothers as she has five acres of land he can roam freely, so it isn't complete torture. There will be howling (it is a low key howl like he is telling you all about his day, or week in this case) and a lot of licks coming though.
