Dolphin Browser HD

I just found this on another forum and thought I would share it. It seems to be faster than Skyfire. Once you open it you will see the difference. Enjoy

Wasn't the old Dolphin browser faster than Skyfire too? I'll check it out though. Thanks

Does this version of Dolphin play Flash videos like Skyfire, is that why we're comparing them? I've gotten very use to the speed that xScope brings (plus I really dig the home page layout), so I've stuck to that and just use Skyfire if I know I'm going to need the Flash capability.

I'm not sure I'll check it out and post my findings.

No it doesn't. At least, not with the sites that I tried from the Skyfire compatible website thread. But it's still a really nice browser.

Is this the same thing as the Beta Dolphin "Tunney" browser? Nevermind looks like it is a themed version of the current dolphin. Very nice though. I couldn't download it through that link so I found it here . This browser is very fast. I wonder if the creator made changes other than cosmetic.

Dolphin HD has been my default for a few days. It's really nice

Page rendering on this browser is freakin awesome. Really crisp no wonder it's called HD. Only issue is that you can't save the cache on the SD card... I don't think.

I delete my history/cache when I exit every time. Is there really a downside to that? That it just doesn't load a website a quarter of a second faster?

You can only drag them up and down the list of bookmarks, I think.

Been using it today. I really like it, but I just can't live with the ads and I'm not obviously not going to pay for a browser. This isn't 1997.

We really need a Firefox (proper version!) or Chrome to come along and blow all these guys out of the water.

It doesn't really bring anything new. It's a ui and skin modification to the old browser, with ads slapped on top of it. It's not even it's own browser engine. Sad.

As said above, need proper firefox.

Just spent a day with it, beats my old favorite, xscope. Especially since I did not like the update xscope put out. Kind of ruined the UI for me.

I think the UI is nice, I like the option to get addons for it and the default skin is decent looking. I hate the adds though and there's no way I can justify paying 4.99 for a browser. I tried out the free version, it was ok but I did find it to be a bit laggy as compared to the stock browser which so far still works well for me. Actually not a bit laggy, but quite a bit since I tried to access the same webpage on both browsers and the stock was lightening fast compared to dolphin hd.

When Firefox comes out though I'll be all over that since FF is all I use on my pc.

They claim you can sync Google Bookmarks but so far I can't see a sync option anywhere in the UI? Their instructions lead me to a place with no sync option?

I tried setting wallpaper from dolphin HD browser and was not able to do it. No option from an image and downloaded images don't show in the gallery. Is there something I'm missing?

Overall I can't really see the benefit of dolphin over stock. At least there's a bookmarks button now - the last version hid the bookmarks!
