i just donated 6.95 which was the last bit of money I had on my pre-paid card. Once I have some more I'll donate again.

I'm on a pretty tight budget, so I donated what I could. Missing MIUI. My Droid X ran smooth and fast on it. Hoping to get the same results from my Spectrum.
 
Guys, I found the device on eBay that I would like try and get. Its the cheapest one with a good ESN. BIN is set at $210 plus $8 shipping, and the listing expires in 2 days. We're at $71.95 now (33% of what we need for this phone). Do you think we can raise the remaining $145 in 2 days?

If we get close enough, I may be able to pitch in a little.
 
Wish I could give you more but I won't have anymore money until sunday. But the good news is there should be more deals because I see specs on ebay all the time.

No worries man. Just got a little over-excited when I saw that phone on eBay (I've been looking for 2 days and haven't came across any at the price with a good ESN or without a busted screen.) I'm sure there will be more, so I'm not worried about it. :)
 
you are at 171.98! I think you should go ahead and order it because I know you will get the extra few dollars even if you had to throw in the extra 40 on your own. Maybe lite or someone here could cut you a deal and get you a phone!?!

But with having 171 its a done deal.
 
Yep. I went ahead and ordered the phone late last night. Should have it within a few days. I chipped in $50 (total donations after PayPal fees was $165 and some change) to secure that phone because it was such a good deal. Thanks to everyone who donated!

I'm going to keep the donate link active through the weekend so that anyone who wanted to donate, but didn't get the chance to can. The idea here is NOT for me to get any extra cash out of this, but to replenish the $50 I put towards the phone, since I didn't have any recent donations from the Samsung Fascinate community to contribute. I won't accept anything over the cost of the phone. If you didn't get the chance to donate, but still want to, it is appreciated, however, its NOT something I'm expecting, so please don't feel that you have to. :)

On another note, does anyone know where I can find status on the CM9 that is being worked on?

excellent man, classy for sure!! If i come up with some extra fundage ill toss it your way. my current situation doesnt support it thogh. i got $19 im my checking and a $900 mortgage due in 2 weeks...lol

I'd check with death2all for cm9 progress, i think he was working on it. He has a link to his github in one of these other threads. Ill see if i cant dig it up for ya.
 
I sent d2a a msg. To see what he wants to do about this as far as cm9 goes. Glad to hear you were able to get one. I will be donating later today.
 
Sorry I was late to pick up on all this, guys. I guess I got confused with the merge. And I use Tapatalk a lot, which doesn't help when going back and forth from a PC.

I hope it all works out the way you want it to. :-)
 
Received the phone today! Got it rooted, now time for some ROM porting! I'm going to start with MIUI, then I'll move on to porting other ROMs as time allows.

Are there any ROMs on other devices that you guys would like to see on the Spectrum? Post them here and I'll do what I can to get some of them ported.

Whatever the best roms on the galaxy nexus are. I have no idea what they are because I haven't seen any but it would super cool to have the top roms from the gnex on the spec.
