Put it in a bubble mailer (take the battery out of the phone first, in case something happens and it explodes. You want to stick the battery in a freezer zip lock, rolled up and taped) and go to the post office, then mail it flat rate priority in the envelope for $4.95, gets it there in 1-3 days, and the priority mail is managed separately from standard mail, so one can hope it is handled better as well.

Also, in the USA anything shipped overnight by any company is guaranteed. If it did not get there by the agreed time (since places have day delivery and afternoon delivery, overnight shipping), you file a claim showing your receipt and the delivery time and they at least refund your shopping costs. Some businesses (the place you ordered from) also give discounts on future purchases, even though it is not always their fault.

No problem, I felt bad after I re-read that, it looked pretty snotty to me, I did not mean to be offensive. I've earned over 400 positive ratings on eBay for sales, although it did take me 15 years...

I've have definitely learned a thing or two about shipping.

Fyi the freezer bag vs. Normal Ziploc is because they have multiple layers to protect against frost bite, and the name brand ones use a thicker mil plastic than any other brand I've bought. All important if you have a battery blow out. Granted phone batteries are not the same as AAs... never hurts to be safe.
 
Hey guys, I got caught up last night and wasn't able to ship it out. I am in the process of joining the military and if any of you have served will know all about MEPS. I got called out to MEPS last night and just got out, I am on my way to UPS to ship the phone now. no need to apologize for that! thanks for the update and gl with everything in military. you guys in the military do alot for everyone and we wouldn't be able to do the things we can without you guys!

Man I would pissed too! I'm a UPS driver and can tell you if you payed for NDA and didn't get it for a week it more than likely wasn't our fault...we have our own terminals at the airports, world wide, and NDA service is our highest priority. Every UPS facility, on a daily basis, is completly empty and by noon you could eat off of the floors its so clean. They actually polish the floors. Here in SA we see 110,000 pkgs daily and like I already said by 11:00 there's not 1 envelope on the slides! There are situations where you might receive a NDA after the commit time (10:30) the next day but they are so serious that a driver, on the 3rd time, is fired without the opportunity to have it reviewed by the union! When this happens and you report the after 10:30 am delivery time we ALWAYS refund the shipping costs. Ground shipping is a 5 day guarantee. Anywhere here in Tx ground will be there the next day and you can usually count on ground anywhere else in the states being there in 3 days.

Heres a $$$ saving tip...if your receiving shipment at a residence and need it by the next day, just not before 10:30, then do a NDA Saver (1P) which is about half the cost of a NDA.

Oh god.... MEPS was a nightmare....HURRY UP....and WAIT..... Goes SO FREAKING SLOW! No chance for smoke breaks either...., *shudders* glad that nightmare is over.. xD. I was in the US Navy. What branch you goin to?

Fed-Ex broke my phone... guy threw the box from the street. I raised hell, got a new phone and sold it.. by the time they processed the crap i had already paid for a newer better phone and got it. it took almost a month for them to cover the crap. (it was insured)

Your telling me! I have been going at this for a year now. Almost a year to the day today actually. I needed a medical waiver for my knee, had two ACL replacements in my right knee 3 years apart. First it was you have to wait 6 more months to process all the way because you have to be at least a year past your last surgery date. This was after I took the physical and the ASVAB July of 2011. 6 months goes by, go back December 2011, time for a medical waiver because I am disqualified to serve due to my knee surgeries. Get a letter from my surgeon saying it shouldn't be a problem to serve, this was in March 2012 after I was told I was disqualified. Get cleared to get a consult by a military contracted knee surgeon last week July 2012. Turns out the Clinic that did my last knee surgery was the clinic that is contracted through the military so it made it a little easier haha! So now the wait to get my waiver returned as approved and then I sign my contract.

Long story short, the government sucks at doing anything and it costs way to much money in the process lol.

I am joining the Army, wanting to do either Rangers, or Green Berets. Thank you for your service.

you reminded me of a time i flew and saw the luggage guy slamming all the bags down really hard onto the conveyor belt! It looked like he wanted to break whatever he thought might be in them. It really pissed me off.
