Root Dont know what i did

I downloaded the link to the OTA radio that was posted, and I flashed it onto my TB (my first flash) but i followed all instructions, and I don't have any service now...PLEASE someone tell me what i did wrong? my phone has signal bars with x next to it!!

you flashed in hboot,correct?

give me a link where you found the radio. sounds like you only flashed a single radio.

also check your baseband # in settings/about phone

I don't think I'm running any...I rooted two days ago, and then tonight flashed that radio, haven't flashed any ROMS yet...

double check your firmware number. if its 1.13.605.7 you are still on mr1 and those radios are not compatible. you have 2 options:

1)download the rom from your same link, and flash it in clockwork recovery(follow directions in the how to sticky)

2) flash the mr1 radios in hboot to take you back to where you were before you flashed the incompatible radios.

i would reccomend #1,so that youre on current firmware. if you dont, its prolly a matter of time before your phone starts asking you to update. its better for you to be on the rooted OTA,wich is what the rom in your link is.

If your on a stock ROM preupdate the new radio won't work. That's why in yeahs thread I asked what ROM you were using. Flash the mr1 radio.

Wow beat me by a min. LOL

how do get ahold of the MR1 radio, I dont have enough time to download the ROM and make backups and flash it tonight, I will flash the mr1 radio tonight, download the OTA ROM, and then ill flash the rom and radio back on my device tomorrow and I'll be current.

you guys are absolutely amazing here, thanks so much, downloading the MR1 radio now, will flash as soon as it's done, also downloading the ROM to flash tomorrow along with the radio (this time i won't mess it up)...will post back to let you guys know that flashing back to the MR1 worked fine...thanks again guys...

(virtual hand shake)

will definitely be using the Thanks button then! never been on a forum with such a helpful bunch of people, i have a lot of confidence that if i have an issue, its going to be resolved.

MR1 flashed back successfully! got my service back, got a little practice flashing in hboot, and I will be attempting to flash my first ROM (the OTA) tomorrow after work!!! :)

Make sure you rename your radio file (PGIMG05.ZIP) or delete it otherwise hboot will do nothing but flash your radio and you'll never be able to flash a rom!

Since you don't use hboot to flash a Rom, you can still flash one with the PGIMG05.zip on your SD card.

However, its good practice to erase a PGIMG05.ZIP file from the root of your SD card after flashing it. Not doing so will prevent you from accessing your recovery manually(powering off your phone/booting it back up while holding volume down).
I forgot to erase it once and had to pull my SD card and use the card reader on my laptop to erase the file.
