Well looks like Microsoft enabled some scripters, because the Nokia is getting exponential number of votes now. 100 every 5 minutes vs. 20 for GNex.

It's completely rigged, there was another topic about this in the Android Lounge. Several WP7 forums have been voting non stop, plus it's on laptopmag so it's geared towards Windows.

Also, if you read the description of this competition under the Lumia 710 it says.

Overall, though, the Nokia Lumia 710 is a great choice for consumers looking to make the leap from feature phones to smartphones, and is favored to win this competition.

I just don't understand why sites like this who expect us to use them for informational reviews to make tech decisions, allow their impartiality to be destroyed in such a way. I could live with fanboys causing a questionable win by getting everyone to vote, but the mechanics behind how this contest went down screams cheating.

To be honest, if they want to give out a sense of questionable credibility, let them. It's their loss ;)

For the iPhone 4S to only have 130 votes tells me its more about who knows the contest even exists.

Doesnt mean a thing....just that some ppl like phone X more than phone Y....for whatever reasons.

Me personally...I cant see a phone with no FFC beating a phone that has one. The Lumnai 710 shouldn't have made it as far as it did.
 
The 710 was down by 4000 votes after 12 hours of voting. Then overnight it made a miraculous comeback, and surpassed the GNex with less than 5 minutes remaining.

Maybe its Microsoft. Gonna use it in a promotion or ads. Nokia WP7 vs Nokia WP7. The results of that might tell even more if its some extra stuff going on.
 
No I did some digging on Windows forums, and found the reason, They found the poll at the host site, and going directly through the host site, were able to multi-vote. They have been doing this for every WP poll, and actually it goes up before hand, and they have been pre-voting whenever possible. Both the contest between the 710 and the HTC titan, the WP started with an extra 1000 votes or so. They thought it would be enough, since no other phone was getting that many votes, but DL tweeted about the GNex and immediately massive numbers of people started voting for the GNex, and caught them off guard, and that is how they beat the Titan II. The same thing happened again, but once all the DL people used the legit site to vote once, the WP people spent the entire night voting over and over again to get their phone over the top on the host site. I wish I could find the site for this one, so we could all vote the 710 over the 900.
 
Just based on user base, sales...it should be iPhone vs some Android phone.

Looking at the previous Madness polls...the Pre in the final for 2011 and won? lol Look how well that turned out for HP and the Pre...The Pre also won in 2010.
