Help Double LTE speeds? hmmm...

ive done a bunch of speed tests with my metro phones as i move around the area. max has always been 4/4, not bad. i got the text about metro and t mobil last week and thought yesterday to do a quick speed test to see if i could tether the phone to my ps3 and have less lag. speed tests were coming back 8/4, 9/4 then 11/5. wtf? why are they not advertising this? if they are doubling their lte speeds they should spread the word. my location is tampa florida by the way.

i just got 15/4 after posting this.

Can't give you speeds on MPCS, but on Verizon LTE I see huge variances like you do. DC has become saturated with LTE phones and the speeds have plummeted ever since. When I had my Bionic almost 2 years ago, LTE was amazing. Now it's so so. But, other places in the country are still seeing blazingly fast speeds. It's all about location and time of day. :)

metro speeds are still the same here in Michigan. out side Detroit i get about 3 down and 8 to 10 up. Near Detroit/inside Detroit i get like 5 down and 20 up

In the tri cities Michigan it's at most 2 up and 2 down and usually a lot lower than that :(

yeah farther out of Wayne County you get the weaker the data speeds. Could clime on your roof, wrap your self in tinfoil and stand on one leg....

In the North Georgia mountains, 15 miles north of Dahlonega is the little town of Suches, Ga. It's at about 2300' elevation. For years the only coverage there has been VZN and that only in the past 5-6 years.

One time I was there on the back porch and of course, no signal.
This was at a motorcycle campground called TWO. A guy looks at me and says, "You need to go stand in the special spot. You're not using the special spot."

I'm sure you can imagine the look I gave him. :D

He persisted and said for real, over there about 20 yards in the side yard. I walked out there and he's pointing and says, Ok, THERE.

I looked down at my phone and I'll be damned, there was 1 lousy bar, just enough to make a call with.

This was about the time of the Michael Jordan McDonald's commercials. I said about the cell signal there, off the BP sign, off Blood mountain and SWOOSH! nothing but net on Brasstown Bald.

lol funny. At my work if I'm up in the front part of the grounds I get about a 2down. but if I go to the back part of the grounds I hit a 4down. Any time I need to tether I always go to the back.

tethering to most multiplayer games don't even use as much data that you may think its really just sending lines of code back and forth all that nice HD stuff and all most everything else with it is loaded from the disc
