Help downloaded jellybean today...

...using simpleupdater tool or whatever its called and it downloaded and installed without a hitch, but when my phone rebooted it had the sprint boot screen. My lock screen says sprint and I have all the sprint apps also. So I got the sprint rom.
Everything seems to work fine but I dont know whether or not this will cause any problems inthe long run.
Should I call vm? Any input is appreciated lol

As long as all the features are working right, calls, texts, mms, sms, data etc, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Sounds like you got the sprint updater instead of vm lol

You downloaded the wrong one. Your mms and visual voicemail probably won't work.

The visual voicemail worked fine and I didnt test mms but regardless, I called vm to see what theyd say and according to the first person I talked to, id apparently been on sprint the whole time and if I wanted support with a sprint phone I needed to call them...dude had no clue what I/he was talking about..so I was transferred to technical support who assured me that what happened was perfectly normal and was part of sprint and virgin mobiles upgrading...still had no idea what he was talking about so I told him everything was fine and thats all I needed.
Long story short I made sure I got the right tool this time and now my phone isnt having any more identity crisis.

Hey I did the same thing. I'm with Virgin also and got a text to do this and thought it was a good idea at the time. The download was a pain in the ass with my computer. I know I checked Virgin and when the phone reset itself it shows Sprint on the startup and lockup.
The only worries I have is will I still get texts from Virgin showing my next month is due and the other inconvenience is I no longer have "my account" app with Virgin to pay it on the phone if I want. I couldn't find a app on the google market except a spam app that didn't work.

I must ask, how can I fix this problem or is it not that big of a deal?
