Downside to purchasing through Wirefly?

I also ordered on the 9th. I can wait, because that's all we can do anyway, and it's good that Wirefly claims to be shipping orders out as fast as they can.

It would help me out to get it soon though because I'm in the middle of fanangling a phone replacement issue and I have only a few days left before Sprint says they're going to charge me extra, but I suppose I can deal with that too.

I haven't been able to get anywhere with whereismyorder.com though. The rep told me he couldn't access the queue and said to just keep checking the order status page.

Just a heads up guys. I ordered on the 7th, was immediately approved, and I'm still waiting for my phone to ship out due to lack of inventory. I'll let you guys know when my order status changes.

I'm moving in a couple of weeks and if my order isn't fulfilled by friday/saturday, I might just cancel my order. At least you guys will move up in the queue!

Ordered on 8th and still waiting inventory. I will be checking local stores this week to see if I can get it earlier.

think I'm going to do the same and look around in some stores. This waiting is driving me crazy and its only so many times i can refresh the order page :)

I keep checking this thread hoping to see people posting that their status changed to shipped.. but no such luck so far. I too ordered on the 9th and still waiting.. Makes me sad to see people from the 7th still waiting cause that means, I have to wait even longer if there is not enough phones to cover them and me..:( Maybe, I should stop obsessing over it and just be surprised when it finally shows up..

Hey guys, we've decided to issue a message across some of the communities we've been fortunate to be a part of over the last couple weeks. While it's probably not the update you are hoping for, we hope it will address some of your concerns and provide some updated information. Please feel free to PM me with concerns. Ari

--------

Many of you who ordered the HTC EVO 4G during the product’s launch weekend have been disappointed by your experience, and we have been working to answer your questions about order status. EVO orders last week exceeded expectations and neither we nor Sprint were prepared for it.

We know that the lack of information has been frustrating, but we are doing our best not to make any representations that we can't live up to, and Sprint has been unable to deliver the inventory that was expected.

As recently as yesterday, our expectation was that we would be completely past this national shortage very soon, but it’s clear now that Sprint cannot deliver on this commitment. Since new orders have continued to come in every day, and we are no longer able to make representations regarding delivery timeframes, we made the decision today to stop taking orders for the HTC EVO 4G until Sprint can ensure adequate supply.

If you have already placed an order, we will continue to fulfill those orders as Sprint obtains inventory. We are shipping more this week, and in fact, it remains possible that we will meet the 1-2 week timeframe that we have advertised since June 6.

We appreciate all of the feedback we have received here on AndroidForums, and will continue to provide updates here as we get more information (and start taking orders again).

That sucks. I have a question about the bing cashback though... If my order is approved but waiting shipping, how long does it usually take for the bing cashback to post? I'm scared it wont work because I didnt get a "get your cashback" at the end of my order. I started the order from bing, and had the bing banner up top during my order (until the last page, where it dissapeared).

If I look at whereismyorder it has "referringpartner=Wirefly_BingCB" in it. This should mean it was valid and i'll get my bing cashback right?

Makes me glad I ordered mine at 9:05 pm (pacific standard time) on Thursday the 3rd of June! :D

I feel for the rest of you waiting, because this phone has been completely and totally awesome so far. Completely exceeded my expectations.

Wirefly was great and I got my order when it was supposed to get here. I got my $50 Bing Cashback credits for both phones I ordered, and I have to say after my 2nd purchase experience with Wirefly, I'm very satisfied.

I think it is pretty great these guys are even willing to get in here and take the abuse, questions, etc..., and then do their best to help out and keep things updated.

I guess companies that are selling these phones, just don't have a good read on projected sales, because both Verizon with the Incredible, and now Sprint with the EVO have really screwed up the supply to meet the demand.

Good luck to all. I'm going to get back to my new little baby! :)

BCB posts after shipping. In whereismyorder, you should see the BCB banner to the right saying something like:

Congratulations!
You're eligible for Bing Cashback for each device activated!
(up to 5 devices)

Something happened to my bing cashback too, although I saw the ad up top when I browsed to the wirefly site. I had to email bing support and they're supposed to be contacting Wirefly to do something about it.

Hi ShoxV, you should have your Bing credit within 48-72 hours after *shipment.* If, after several days, you don't see your credit, please PM me and I'll escalate it to Microsoft.

ALSO, A NOTE TO ALL ON BING: If you have waited several days and still do not see your Bing credit, please contact us rather than Bing so we can make sure you get taken care of. Communications with Bing are not always effective in getting any issues squared away.

Ari,

What do you mean Bing credit? I still see the banner to the right of whereismyorder but I don't see it as a pending credit in my bing cashback account. I thought you said it will only credit once it ships? I've been confirmed since the 8th and is awaiting inventory.

Haner, sorry, misspoke there. You are correct, Bing will be credited within 72 hours of shipment. If you began your session at Bing, and completed you order in the same session, you will see the $50 Cashback per phone appear in your Bing account within 48 hours after your phone is shipped.

Right, but my problem is I don't see that Bing banner on my "whereismyorder" page. I don't mind waiting, I just wanna ensure that eventually, it WILL go thru.

Basically what I'm asking is, if I don't see the bing banner on whereismyorder, does it pretty much mean I messed up somewhere?

For reference, I started my order from bing, had the banner on top the whole time I was creating my order, but when I actually submitted my order the banner disappeared.

Please PM me with your order number, and I'll ask our CS team look into it for you.

wonder if Wirefly isn't getting stock because HTC is working on a hardware revision?

Has anyone else gone to BB/RS/Walmart and picked up a phone lately? I know I got the last EVO at the Walmart I went to.

In stock on sprint.com. Got my order in, will be canceling at WF. It comes out slightly cheaper because of the free activation and $50 credit so that's an $86 savings. The tax is charged at the $299 price so it ends up being a $10 more or a $26 savings if you count the $50 BCB = $50 Credit.

What is the BCB $50 credit? Is that done at checkout on the sprint site?

Thanks,

Rich

Dont know if i was supposed to or not, but i got free activation on my 3 phones through wirefly. Already got my 1st bill from sprint, no activation fee`s on it. Just 1st bill without the corp discount yet. I was dreading that $300 first bill that never came.

Hey guys, while I know many of you are still awaiting stock on your first EVO, I wanted to take a quick second let you know about a fun contest we just launched here at Wirefly where you could win a second EVO (or any other Android phone). You can check it out at www.wireflycontest.com.

As always, feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the contest or, of course, your order and we'll do our best to get you a quick answer.

Ari
