Help DRM Notification stopped camcorder

OK... SO I have checked all over the forums, google, Sprint and HTC tech support and have no answers.

I was at the park with my two daughters taking video of them playing with the stock camcorder app. All of a sudden the camcorder stops and I have a "Sprint DRM Notification" on the notifications bar. Once you touch it the notification is gone and there is nothing to read. The video that I was taking is now grayed out and will not play on any app including VLC player after having moved it to my PC.

Anybody know what could have caused this? Can I fix the vid and will this happen again while taking movies?

Stock ROM, no root.

Hmmm weird. The only thing that comes to mind is Cinava protection that's built into some movies. They basically embed a hidden audio encryption that stops people from copying movies. So say you are taking a home video of your kids while one of these movies is playing in the background. The video you are taking might not play back if the software notices that audio track.

However, since you were in the park, i doubt this is the case. And I dont even think the Evo has cinavia protection built in.

I was thinking along the same lines, like maybe we said something that sounds like a movie audio? At this point I just wish I could play the video since it was my 2 year old doing some new things. Any thoughts on a way to fix that?

Download MediaInfo on your computer, its free. Open that video in there, switch to Text View, and copy the results here. Maybe we can find something that tells us what's going on.

Sitlet,

I am assuming this is what you are looking for, I dont see any other TEXT view, but there are not a lot of results.

In fact I tried it on another vid from my phone and there was much more info. Corrupted file perhaps?

Hmm, well if it only happened once, its very possible its just a corrupted video. Probably didnt write to the card correctly at the time, and maybe it just gave you that error because it didnt know what other error to give.

DRM problem here too, but not video related- voicemail related. I had a notification in the tray that said "DRM License Required", so I clicked on it and nothing happened. From that point forward, my phone would not let me listen to any voicemail messages. I did a couple of hard resets and the problem went away, at least for now. I'm not sure why it happened, unless it has to do with the random reboots that have been happening with my phone.
