Root Droid 1 Easy Root problems?

Hey, today I was trying to do my friend a favor and root his Motorola Droid. I downloaded Easy Root, paid for it, got it running, then ran it. It rooted fine from what I can tell, however, when I did the mandatory restart, and reopened the app, nothing had changed and I went through the rooting process again. I did this several times before giving up. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do to fix it? Should I re-download it or something?

Thanks

Easyroot doesn't work on droids anymore. There are currently only two ways to root the Droid 1. The first way is the old fashioned way.......

The secend way is to go over to XDA-Developers.com and download a program onto your computer called Super One Click Root

[APP]SuperOneClick v1.5.5 (Root, Unroot, Enable Non-Market App, Get UNLOCK code) - xda-developers

I have used this on a few Droids and it works fine. You do have to follow the instructions to the T though.

After rooting you will want to probably install busybox from the market so apps like Titanium Backup will work.

If you have any questions just send me a p.m.

Let me add something real quick. Easyroot doesn't work on Droids that are on the Froyo 2.2.1 O.S. If anybody reading this has a Droid from a third party carrier besides Verizon and it is not updated to 2.2.1 then Easyroot should still work. Have fun rooting everybody.

When you are rooted then try out The Ultimate Droid Rom and my theme: Breeze...... You can find the theme on droidforums.net

THEME Release.....BREEZE - Droid Forum - Verizon Droid & the Motorola Droid Forum

Beeze is also on the Sapphire rom and will soon be ported to other roms such as the new Sourcery Rom, Shadow Rom, and P.E.

Thank you sah
