Droid 2 Released today on Verizon's website!

Just saw that the Droid 2 was released today on the Verizon website. Is anyone here going to upgrade? I think the lack of availability to root is a deal breaker for me. What are your thoughts?

There is always a lack of availability to root when the phone is first released. I'm sure that someone will take care of that soon. The non-availability to load custom ROMs is what I would be more concerned with. That issue has not been resolved for the Droid X as far as I know...and that phone has been out for a little while now.

I had been reading that motorola is making it really hard to root the new phones. I know it will be possable but I mainly want my wifi hot spot ability and I don't think I should pay twice for the ability to do so with a new phone. I think we pay enough as it is.
