Droid DNA Video Recording

Is it me or is the video camera on the DNA not very good? I thought my Incredible 2 shot better video. I don't like the "auto focus" as it seems be going in and out of focus constantly...can you disable that? Could it because I zoom that the quality does not look HD?

Hmm, well got to remember you only have a digital zoom. The camera is still seeing the whole image, but you are telling it to record a smaller portion of the screen. By definition a digital zoom reduces resolution.

Aren't I the "Village Idiot"...when I bought the phone, the rep set me all up, including putting the case on. Just now noticed that he never removed the little plastic protection that was still covering the lens...wow!

Just took video and photo...100x better!

When I was buying my DNA the rep was saying that's the number one complaint they get about the phone and 9 times out of 10 the real problem is that the plastic got left on. So, you're not alone. :D

Haha, yep, happened to me too. The rep put the case on for me so I had no way of knowing the lens plastic cover was still on until I took it off.

The DNA is bad ass. You just need to be careful how close your hand is to the screen when one handed etc so you don't accidentally touch settings, etc.
And since it's probably a larger phone than what you've had before you have to concentrate when holding one hand so your hand doesn't shake.

I quickly learned how to hold mine and I get some great shots.

People are often jealous of the photos I take with it especially how you can get about 12 shots per second with it.

The only negative is the audio when played back on a pc isn't cranked but I often edit my videos anyway and use gain/compression anyway.
The sound is crisp!

Here's some recent shots with mine:

That's me. My daughter took this photo.

I then took this one of my daughter.

I loved this couple. His and Her AR-47's. :D

One reason I got it was for the camera. Good shots and it's fast.
