Im getting close to my upgrade date, actually i can upgrade right now, i love my eris because i can mod it so easily, and well, i was looking forward to the droid x, but i have recently learned of the sad news about it being very difficult if not impossible to mod without bricking the phone (evil motorola). And, Im wondering if i should go with the incredible, or wait for the samsung fascinate (verizon carrier), Im wondering if anyone has any opinions

Root Droid eris retirement

Picked up a Droid X this morning
(yep!) -- I have no expectation of being able to root it (would be nice, but I'm not counting on it).Still have my Eris...got the best of both worlds!
Its already rooted and gives me a device I can go to if I need root stuff.
