As a software developer, that's what I'd do.... let a few updates trickle out, then watch the forums for problems. If necessary, tweak a little code and re-release, O/W if it looks ok, open the flood gates.

It was said late summer since it was released. They never said it would be out before then so no need to get all worked up

"late summer" could mean now or in maybe 2 weeks.
My thoughts exactly I mean tomorrow is August already, that is getting to be late summer.
