I just found this thread. I dont get into the main chat very often so i miss a lot of these .. i just find one i need, or make a new one, then subscribe to them so i can follow by email.

Anybody good with themes? I mean installing them, not making. I've never done it before and I have a couple questions.
Duh I guess I can just ask. Are the themes particular to the ROM you have?
And I answered my other question by actually thinking.
As I mentioned before, you'd really get more answers in the other forums, like the many dealing with root and ROMs, or the troubleshooting ones. We mostly come here to relax. I seldom answer technical questions here in the lounge.

Im still having the HARDEST time trying to make a final decision on the X and the Incredible. I dont want to settle on the Incredible when the X has some SLIGHTLY better features but at the same time, the Incredible is NEAR perfect. The X is just so...awkward to hold and use.
Im also scared that 2 days after I get one of these phones, Verizon is going to announce something that is going to blow me away and Im stuck with the phone I have for 2ish years.

I personally wouldn't be able to deal with motoblur. To me the Inc has everything i need. Plus there will always be that bad ass phone announced right after you get one, lol

Anywho, how compatable is the Incredible with a Mac? I have I tunes and an Ipod and would LOVE to transfer everything easily over to the Inc. I know double twist worked well with the X and my dad's windows based PC, will it work just as well with a Mac? Plus is the Inc in general pretty good on a Mac?(As far as like compatibility with certain apps and such?)

Don't worry about it player, we all were NOOBS (your not stupid, your a noob!!) at one point. There has been much discussion on how to do certain things concerning apple and android. Not having anything apple i couldn't say with any certainty

And had to say, dont go to store and get a 'little' one on one. Go several times, play extensively with each. Play around in the menu's, see how easy it is to figure stuff out. Unless your independently wealthy your gonna be stuck with your decision for a while... Be sure is all i am saying

Yeah Im not REALLY techno savvy. My dad on the other hand is like SUPER computer pro. I feel like it should be the other way around knowing generational differences.
Not to totally down apple (Like you guys care! ) but they tend to be on the limited side of technology. Course their advertising is what REALLY sells them. But they are aimed more at people like me. Good thing I missed the Iphone and AT&T though, a 2 gig cap?! You HAVE to be kidding me!

Oh yeah defiantly. Im 21 working at Petsmart for 8 bucks an hour and going to school. To say im wealthy would be a HUGE misconception ha ha. Right now im going to be riding on the my father's family plan and he is cutting me a deal each month for stuff like insurance, cell bill, car stuff. And for an extra 30 bucks a month, I feel like a smartphone would be worth the extra doh.

Ha ha I hear ya. So far ive been VERY pleased with my apple products. Im not a big fan of their "service" but I REALLY like their products. Everything from my Ipod touch to my Macbook pro. And so far, I have to say that the Iphone, IMHO, is one of the best, if not THE best smart phone out there. Its just on one of the worst services. But I shall drop it there, just stating my opinion
Yeah Ive heard a little about this Incredible HD too. Im interested to see what takes off with that. Honestly if the Incredible didnt have SUCH bad audio on the video it takes, it would be the number one choice with out a doubt. But thats really the only thing that I see the X has over the Incredible, and honestly thats sort of a big deal for me. I know its "just a phone" but I do a lot of video and photo stuff, even on my little Dare I have now. And I just want the best

True, but i've not noticed the audio being bad at all when i record in 720. As always not every phone is created equal..... Been a pleasure but its 9am and i just got home from work a bit ago.... its time to fall into a coma for a while....

I have both the Incredible and an X (i work in the mobile industry so i have to have them all) and i can honestly say, the Incredible is better. Of course i have to fine-print the hell outta that with "this is just my opinion, blah blah blah" but i feel strongly about it and i have used both phones pretty extensively
The X destroys the Inc screen by screen, but in terms of usability, functionality, user-experience, etc ... Incredible takes the cake.
Spec wise, they are essentially the same phone, but the Incredible is in a more compact casing. Sense (IMO) is way nicer to use, and the phone feels way snappier than the X
If you came here for recommendations, mine is to go with the Incredible. Even with the rumored devices out right now, nothing really blows it out of the water.
Buy it, love it, come on here and hit the "Thanks" button next to my post.

Ha ha thanks. This is my first step into the deep end of pool known as wireless devices (That sounded WAY more lyrical in my head) so I want to make sure its a good one. Like I said, im on a tiny dinky LG Dare and its a great phone for making calls and doing texting, but I want music and internet and all those other little things in one device instead of having my pockets weighed down with an Ipod, camera, phone, and everything else.
