.::Droid Incredible Lounge::.

Ok guys...dont crucify me, but I went to Verizon today for my upgrade...and I MIGHT have picked something other than the Incredible...

IM SORRY!!!! IT's screen is just SO beautiful and I can get around Bing, its not big deal *Flinches back for expected slap of shame!*

It comes in tomorrow. Regardless, Im going to use the CRAP out of this phone for the next few weeks and if im not 100% satisfied, Im trading it back in for the Incredible.

So you chose the Fascinate after all? Oh well you will be missed;).

J/K Glad you are finally getting your phone - no matter which Android phone, they are all worthy devices.

The Fascinate. Believe me, it was a REALLY hard choice. And thats why I said if im not 100% satisfied with it, than its going back asap.

Ha ha im not going ANYWHERE. I may not have an incredible but I love you guys too much to just bolt. Besides, what percentage of this topic ACTUALLY talks about the incredible? Like 25% maybe? Everything else is just chilling, and I like that :D

I dont even want to make a new thread for this, but i did try searching and tried many terms but came up empty handed.

Now that i am rooted, how do i take screenshots?

We think freedom of speech is important, so that's why we don't "censor" most of what our users say (well, you know the rules). As for the Guides, it's a little different. We don't see them as users, more like minions. :p Kidding, of course. Those posts were removed for a good reason which the Guides we're talking about now know, no biggie.

As for the threads, we understand that a lot of people don't like this move and to be honest I'd probably don't like it so much either if I were posting a lot in these threads. But then again, the admins were right to say that some of you guys were posting only off-topic stuff in your phone's lounge and not sharing with all the members, only with your "clique". I'd like to see everybody posting in The Lounge instead, which I hope you are doing now. You'll still see the users you like (and new ones!).

As for the different Lounges inside The Lounge, that might be temporary. We're trying to find to best course of action here, which is a hard thing to do, believe me. If you've got a great idea or something, I'd be happy to receive a private message about it.

Users who already visited the Lounge might not be happy either, it's not fun to see a bunch of new threads that keep being bumped in a section you used to visit all the time. Especially since those threads are aimed for specific members.

We have to do as the admins tell us, but we don't like it when the users are unhappy either. The "best" solution would have been to close these threads, but I don't think this would have been a smart move right now. ;)

Wasn't the purpose of the lounges as a place to be generally free form - i.e. no specific topic?

Whatever happens - please don't merge the various threads into one mega thread. It is hard enough sometimes to follow some conversations as it is.

Very true - if the users are unhappy with the move, closing the threads would have been worse.

Thank you for taking the time to address these issues. Like most people, I don't take change well, but after a while, I seem to adjust (might be the age thing) :D

I know our Incredible Lounge was mostly "off topic" but that's because even us geniuses need to take a break from answering all the Technie questions and just veg for a while. That's why I directed any posters that posted any problems in the lounge to the proper forum threads.

I know that maintaining such a diverse forum is a herculean task and I applaud the effort that the Mods and Admins put into it. I did prefer individual forums because those of us with more "in common" could relate to each other better. But, if closing the lounges was the only other choice, then this is much better.

I'm curious as to what prompted a change like this, we had zero bickering or fighting in the Incredible lounge, was this happening a lot in other Lounges?

Don't mind my earlier post, I hadn't had my coffee yet! :rolleyes:

I agree. The Admins, Mods, and Guides all deserve a hand for the work they do to make AF what it is.
