Yea, he's MUCH better off. Problem is he just turned 4 and i'm sure he has ADD or something of the sort. My daughter is 12 and my ladies kids are 19 and 17 so am NOT prepared to have a little MONSTER running around. O well... Trying to get his dad involved but i'm not holding my breath, dude hasn't even been keeping in touch for the most part.

I do not envy you my friend. I all but have my flock raised.. working on the grand kids now which is a far less hassle. As long as you have money... everyone is happy! Show up to a game or two.. make the christmas concert at school.. remember the birthdays.. it's a walk in the park. As for your man space.. that's a bummer. I did without my space for near thirty years. It's a dang wonder I'm here to tell the tale. No matter how tough it is just remember.. in the scheme of things.. they aren't kids very long.

And Hi my good friend. I lost track of you in my lurking and thought you had exited stage left or worse. Good to see yas!

Had a bit of an identity crisis but i'm still kicking. Not like the old days where we hung out in our one thread. All over the place now. How Ya been??

And I'm trying to learn tolerance, it really sucks trying to raise someone elses kid. Hopefully after some dr visits we can try to control this ADD situation. Dude is driving us both completely crazy. Actually got a hold of his dad this week, he's actually gonna get him for the weekend. Guess we'll see how that goes.

I too don't envy you. My girl's daughter is 16 (whole different set of problems). Her dad is rarely involved and when he is, it seems to cause more problems. Looking at the kids these days, it seems to me ALL 4 year olds have ADD, so I can imagine how bad it is when they actually do.

My girls kids are 17 and 19 so i feel ya there. There dad is a dead beat also, i believe he's in jail... Responsibilty, it's a mother f*cker, lol

Beginning to hate fridays, i been up for 3 1/2 hours already and i have to stay up another 24 hours to get ready to work all night saturday:mad:
Gotta go to class for the next 6 hours too. Can't wait till this semester is over

Hi Everyone,
Its been awhile. but even though I've had no time to chat, I have been keeping up with the lounge.
And now I have a wierd thing/problem that pisses me off with backup assistant and hoping someone could help point me in the right direction.
It bothers me that I have duplicates and triplicates or more of the same contacted linked together. For some reason, verizon will take a contact and because it doesn't have the () around the area code, it makes a duplicate of the contact without the ()'s. Or it will randomly make a lot of multiples of a contact.
I have deleted from both my phone (tokk a long time checking every contact and unchecking all the links) and from backup assistant twice, and still does this. It messes up with other apps and changes the contact pictures I have chosen and when you look at a contact, it will show the home # phone 3 times.


I tried searching the threads for contacts, but there was nothing about this problem.

I'd appreciate the help if anyone can.

Welcome back! Sorry, I can't help with your problem though, I don't use Backup Assistant. My contacts are all Google contacts so I see no need to use it.
You might get better response if you post your question in the Support and Troubleshooting subforum. Someone there may have seen your problem but never posted.

I see that you are everywhere. Oddly enough I was drawn to your posts prior to knowing they belonged to you. You continue to be a plus on this forum.. and congrats on the guide status... they know how to pickem.

Things here are slow. If I was a bit older I'd just retire lol. Self employment isn't exactly all the rave these days. Pretty darn tough out there. Good health... so no major complaints. I even got my dinc working again so I'm a happy camper.

I was fortunate to have been married to the same lady for 37 years so I never had to deal with another's child. It's bad enough putting up with your own so I know it must be hell for ya. My son married into a pre made family so I do get a glimpse into the problems that surround such an arrangement. It's hard when you do your best by a child to only have an almost stranger called "dad" step into the picture briefly and blow it all up.

My lady works with the "labeled" children at the middle school age. She at least gets paid for her services lol. It is tough... I know. I get an ear full of it nightly lol. There are some marvelous drugs out there to help the children.. hard to regulate... and even harder to get the parents and kids married to the idea that it's not an asprin you take when you feel like it.
It is something that they must take as prescribed to have a positiive effect. I hope you can get onto something that will help this boy.... for your sanity as well as the child's future.

Keep telling myself i gonna download it and see what the hype is but never get around to it... i haven't even been playing my 360 so not much chance of me getting into any games on my phone... Way to cracked out on these books i'm reading on da phone right now. Had 9 hours awake time on phone the other day, it was the highest i ever seen, of course thats because i did nothing but read, no calls, texts, surfing, nothing
Awesome books though, Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind

Angry birds is an awesome game. Some levels are really hard though. I keep having to restart a lot. lol

A game that I really like though is Words with Friends for Apple devices. It's like internet scrabble but better implemented for going against other people.
