Exactly... I'm making a bit more than $1.65 now lol. That means, in a tasteful way, that I make far more than $1.65 now. However, a buck sixty five would buy eleven gallons of gas in 1966. To make the same money to compensate for inflation I must make thirty three dollars an hour today... and I do and more. BUT, that was my starter job and I had no business insurance expense.. I was living under the shelter of my parents health care plan... I ate my parents meals.. I did not own a home.. .... on and on my friend. It was great money back in 1966 for a kid. To enjoy the same sort of lifestyle I need to make $75 bucks an hour or so lol.. and I don't. I think, for some reason or another, it has been the desire of the government and insurance companies to run the small business owner out of business. I think a person has a much better chance of surviving as a worker for a large company. I would not put all my eggs in a self employed basket again if I had a choice.

The difference in being paid cash and then paying taxes after the raise. Good ole uncle sam caused me to make less money per hour. I wish now it had pissed me off to the point of quiting. Truth is... it was pretty good money for a freshman in high school.. even with the decrease. The problem is.. I'm still doing the same work 45 years later lol. I've been self employed for the last 40 years which means.. no vacation.. no sick leave.. no health care.. no retirement.. and no unemployment compensation. I am making a bit more than $1.65 an hour now lol but still.. not nearly enough to compensate myself with all the bennies one gets when salary or hourly for a large company. So... don't be the guy saying.. "he's got it made... he's his own boss".

I was in a similar situation in High Shcool as a painter - I did quit, but that was partly due to the decrease in net income and the flakiness of my boss. I don't envy you your self-employment. I tried that route myself a while back and just couldn't quite make ends meet.

That's what I'm saying, I am thinking about moving to the Bionic when it gets released... I love my INC more than anything but it's almost time.. and the TBolt no longer interests me...

I know it's hard but I need the FFC, I would love to use that at anytime to see my kids when I'm away or just to see my wife. It really is more handy than I previously thought...
 
to me man LTE dosent matter because it will be a few years before they get that stuff out to me so i am not to concerned about although i will say the next phone i get in 2012 will more likely be a 4g until the end of the world in December

Thanks. I went with vaping my nicotine via an e-cig. Made it easy to give up the tobacco, I'm able to get my nicotine fix and satisfy the hand to mouth urges. Down to about 1/2 the nicotine level I was using. Once I get to 0, I'll continue to vape, just no nicotine. OTD is a vaping vampire, though she's been at it longer.

I actually tried that for a while, but I just wasn't getting enough on a drag, it didn't quite do it for me.
