Congrats. Hope you like it as much as I do. I haven't made many mods to it, just change the unlock to rotary with music controls and change kernels.

It is built into the ROM;

Code: 
open a terminal window
 
type su
 
at the # prompt type
 
rotaryunlock
 
choose the one you want then enter the number then press enter
 
your phone should now reboot and when it comes back up you 
will have the Rotary Lock screen
If you want to change to a tab unlock the commands are the same, just replace the rotaryunlock with tabunlock.

Ok, please forgive my ignorance. Where do I open a terminal from? Is there something on my phone I've missed, or is this from my PC?

haha i was the same way when i went to cm7 it has the side swipe and it took a long while for me to get used to it i tried the side down again and it was just weired to me haha

It took a little getting used to for me at first too. I decided to keep it at first because I liked the way I could set the phone to silent mode without unlocking it.

all cyanogenmods have the option to do that i saw it when i tried 6.1 and it is still there on 7 :) i love it cuts the number of steps to get to my messages or my phone from the lock screen
and if i am not mistaken you can have more then one set of unlock sliders if you use widget locker
 
Morning to one and all. Three day weekend... mostly for me. Man I'm ready. Four hours on the road every day was killing me. With a little luck I only have two more trips to make. Now all I have to do is find some local work lol.
