My local U made it to the finals in the NIT. It's not the big dance but I'm proud of them all the same. They will likely get spanked Thursday night but hey... they made it to the finals through some quality teams.

Morning all!
Been over 2 months since no smoking and WOW!! i still wanna smoke sometimes.
Congrats NA! I know what you are going through with still wanting to smoke. I still get the urge myself. It is mitigated a bit by vaping on my e-cigarette. When it is really strong, I up the nicotine level in my e-cig and that helps.

Evening guys. I was just taking note of NA and Scorp's sig on cigs. Hell man.. neither of you two had a smoking habit.. sheesh. I smoked over two cartons a week back in the day... around 3 packs daily. That's 60 cigs a day. Take that times Scorps 86 days and that's 5,160 cigs... not 596 lol. At your figures I saved fifteen hundred bucks in that time.. mercy me. Of course the smokes weren't that expensive when I was smoking them. I don't even remember.... six to eight dollars a carton would be my guess. I was just thinking.. I used thirty cents a cig as my multiplyer. When I started smoking cigs, they were twenty five cents a pack lol.

That's quite a bit. When I started, they were about 50-75 cents a pack. There was a time when I was smoking approximately 2 cartons a week, but cut way down over the last 5 years.

can anyone help with me with this issue i have with my incredible?
What is your issue?

I never managed to cut back on my smoking. It just put me in the want mode all the time. I finally figured out.. I could want a cig while cutting back or I could want a cig while I was not going to have another...ever.
I was only teasing about your lack of habit. I know quitting is the same no matter how many cigs per day the habit. My hats off to both of you for kicking the habit!!!

I was forced to cut back...It started getting to the point where just about the only place you could smoke was outside. Not fun in the winter and inconvenient at best most other times.

its getting worse i know in VA they are trying to pass a law to ban hookah and cigar lounges and they are tying to ban smoking within 20 feet of door to any public building

Here in Utah, they have had a law that you can't smoke within 25 feet of the door to any public building for a few years now. There have been some cities that have banned smoking even in outdoor public areas here. Just earlier this month the State House of Representatives passed a bill to ban smoking IN YOUR OWN CAR:eek: if there is a passenger under 16. While I agree it is good to prevent and limit the public's exposure to the carcinogens in smoke, but it's getting out of hand and if everyone were honest, there are more carcinogens being inhaled on a smoggy day here than from second hand smoke. Are we going to ban cars?

I know I heared that they wanted to ban smoking in cars if you have minors in the car. Which I think its a good thing. At the same time if your alone in your car then light up.

I quit smoking cigs prior to any smoking bans. Walk through stores smoking like a steam shovel lol. Times change.. and I suppose for the good. Smoking is a nasty habit and whatever they do to discourage tobacco use is a plus. I very much dislike being told what I can and can't do however. Telling me I can't smoke in my auto is a bit over the top imo. If there is a child in a smoker's car.. it's likely the driver's child after all. If they freely smoke in a car with them.. they likely light up at home as well. Will they ban smoking in your home next? It is your property.. just like your auto... Next they will be placing children in non smoking foster care to remove them from smoking parents lol. sheesh! I always thought rolling down a window in the car or even refraining from partaking was not a bad idea.. but a law to force me not to smoke in my auto is bs. Just my thought...

I've got to brag up my local U. The Wichita State Shockers played Alabama in the NIT finals tonight and won 66 - 57. Not the big dance.. but still one hell of an accomplishment.

Seems a bit over the top to me. I do understand the idea of the law.. but.. damn.. it's in your own car. I always figured my children had the freedom of choice. If they didn't want to ride in my smoke filled car they could always walk. Seriously.. I was never an idiot. I refrained from smoking for the most part and always rolled down the window when I didn't.. seemed like a nice thing to do. But a law.. hmmmmmmm
Does that go on your driving record lol.. Sorry dude.. your insurance is going up....two smoking infractions in one year!

I agree. It is excessive. Many years ago, I decided to refrain from smoking in an enclosed area when children were present, unfortunately, there are those out there that wouldn't make that consideration without legislation.

Edit: The bill still has to pass the Senate and the Governor. The House version levies a $45 fine which is waived if the violator enrolls in a smoking cessation program.

Major frustration today.

When I got up this morning I noticed that my latitude wasn't logged in on my phone. I tried a couple times and it didn't seem to want to work so I figured I needed to reboot the phone. When i did, the boot animation took a very long time to finish, to the point that I was about to pull the battery. It finally came up, but everything is force closing, and it was acting like it was my first boot. I shut it down, did a battery pull, etc. I keep hoping it's a sick April fools day joke. Somehow I doubt it. I'm starting to think I need to go back to my last nandroid and restore what I can from Titanium. unfortunately, my last backup was a few weeks ago. :(

Any ideas before I pull the trigger?

That's bad new Rawlings. It sounds like your cache got hosed. First thing I'd do is boot into recovery and under advanced, clear the Dalvik cache only, then reboot. Probably won't help, but it is worth a shot since you won't lose any data. I found out recently to run Titanium more frequently, I lost all my SMS and MMS messages and the most recent backup was from January, luckily, there was nothing I got between the backup and when I lost my messages that I needed.
