Well, the "without contract" price was probably way higher than $38. ;):p

Sometimes I wonder why cell phones cost so much. Look at a Nintendo 3DS, its estimated production cost is about $100 and it retails for $250.

Now DaS, we already have a Nintendo overcharging thread, let's not send these poor peoples forum into the dark, dark world of off-topicness ;)

No matter what the price.. I've sure never been sorry I bought one. Does price really enter into the decision with something as personal as a phone? I'm not thrilled about paying an inflated price.. don't get me wrong. But, I wasn't price shopping when I got the Dinc.

I figured that a 3DS should have a similar construction price as a phone. Probably not, judging by the retail price. It was just a random example (that I got from the "Nintendo overcharging" thread ;)).

Maybe not for us, but for the average user it might be important. One thing's sure: if it wasn't for the money, I'd have a newer, shinier phone by now. ;) Especially where I live, if you want the "low price", you need a three years contract. One more than in the United States, right?

Yea, 2 years here. Hate that now they are overcharging even more. TB for 250 and now the Charge for 300????

I had no idea.. haven't looked. Damn... Still not a bad price my friend. Especially when you consider a sack of sheep sh*t runs ten bucks lol. Maybe I can just talk all the neighbors into coming over each morning and taking a dump in my graden. Could save me a fortune.
