Question - i've had the sync icon circling since I flashed last night..... Is that normal? I don't have THAT many contacts or friends on Facebook.

Morning all!
I DID IT!!!! I'm UP & RUNNING. Slowly due to not wanting to rush through anything and miss out on any cool new stuff. Thanks to those who have answered my questions and pointed me in the right direction on everything.
Congrats! Weekends aren't good for me to be on the forums. Glad there was someone around to answer your questions.
Only advice that I havent heard anyone here emphasize is ALWAYS do a nandroid backup before playing with something new... before you flash any zip file, apply a theme, etc,etc... ALWAYS.

It will save your life.
+ 1000 Should have mentioned that myself

That is not normal, and I've not had that problem. Have you tried rebooting (Normal from the reboot menu)?

*Edit* Try turning off Facebook sync in your settings to see if it helps.

Reboot menu? Would that be found in the ROM manager? Sorry for more noob questions.

Before you reboot, try turning off facebook sync in your settings to see if that is the culprit.

The reboot menu can be found when you hold down the power button (just like you would to power off the phone under the original ROM).

That wasn't it. The only thing left that syncs is the gmail account. It stops when I force it to cancel the sync but the starts up again a little while later. Thankfully doesn't seem to be draining the battery much though.

I know. But i have to let the battery go dead once to calibrate the battery left widget so I guess maybe right now it's not entirely bad. I will say though - phone has not seen a charger since at least midnight and i still have about 20% left. That's unheard of.

So there I was, minding my own business... when this listing pops up on my computer monitor, no clue how it got there, I must have been hacked! I see the bunneh's have been busy in another thread, so I'm going to assume they hacked me too. Anywho, this listing pops up, and I was trying my best to close it down thinking it was some intrusive advertisement trying to steal my information. Next thing I know, I'm putting in my shipping address and a few days later there's a box on my front step. Friggin hackers.

I open the box, and there's this awesome robotic voice, says to me, "Droid". Next thing I know, I'm *228 on a 3.7" display, dropping an 1100 quadrant and looking up roms for my new Incredible. I love this phone.

I think I puttered around in Froyo for about ten minutes before the phone was getting wired to my laptop and s-off'd. Next thing I know, I'm trying Nils Business Gingersense. Then Pure Speed, followed by MIUI. Threw down some Skyraider, and after flashing the 05.02 radio straight back to Nils. All bad ass roms, but there's something about Nils that just screamed daily driver to me.

I know this isn't the layout thread, but I'm far too lazy to post two threads. Plus I'm a one home screen kind of guy anyways, so there's no need to show off anything but this.
