Why are they stupid? Did they crack your screen?:p

if you want a new phone for any reason all you have to do is come up with any thing and they will replace your phone and no they didn't crack my screen.... Its more of a cosmetic crack but I had a legit reason to get my phone looked at

Different phone - different processor - different results. Do you see any real world (not benchmark biased) gains by doubling the speed of your CPU? As someone who has worked in the electronics industry over 30 years, I'd say running the processor at 145% of manufacutrer's maximum rating (1.4 GHz) is stressing it pretty heavily and will likely lead to early failure.

I really liked the version of Kingdom I tried and it may just be something particular to my set up since I have not seen excessive complaints about the MMS isuse on Sense 3.0 ROMs. SMS is and has been fine.

Isn't this phone only a couple of months old (if that)?

Sorry for double post I am on my phone ... And yes I can see a huge improvement when the cpu us set that high ... But I my self don't keep it that high it heats up the phone fat and its hot

I may have to try this then. I think before I go playing with too much stuff on my set up and lockscreen (cause it's a *itch to set them all back up again!) I might have to flash a non sense ROM and see what that's like, then try Kingdom.

BTW - I got setCPU and used your settings as a starting point. I'll see what happens.

This is a sign of excessive power draw and over stress on the CPU and will lead to premature failure, which leads back to my original point - To me the pros do not outweigh the cons. I too saw performance gains when overclocking, but not in areas that I use my phone the most for which I was referring to when I asked about real world performance gains. If you spend more time gaming on the phone, then yes you will benefit more from higher clock speeds than I do in using the browser, sms/mms, and phone, where the real limitation is the data speed to the tower.

That is what the first day (or two, or three) is great for after getting a brand new phone. Don't set anything up, just flash a rom and use it for a few hours... then flash another, and another. :) Outside of those first couple of days, I hear you; I get tired fast of setting everything up the way I like it.

I've tried non-sense roms (haha). I hope I don't get crucified for saying this, but stock Android is ugly as sin. I like Sense, myself.

Once you get a ROM set up the way you want it, make a nandroid. That way if you decide the this (that or the other) is going to be your daily driver, you can just resotre the backup and not have to resetup everything. Usually, when I am trying out a ROM, I just set up the basics, and then if I like it, I'll start adding my other stuff in slowly (this has the added benefit of making it easier to find what broke).

The Sense 3.0 ROMS I have used have stricter requirements, particularly the bootstrap (hboot) than SkyRaider and you can easily run into a low memory condition because in order to get it to fit, the devs had to move a lot of apks that normally reside on the /system partition to the application storage area. For example, the smallest download for a Sense 3.0 ROM that I have is 230 MB where SkyRaider is right around 175 and Virtuous Unity weighs in at a whopping 399MB (though that does include support for several phones)
Good luck

And I an itching for a sense 3.0 rom there are a few in beta but only one has mms but that one does not mobil data

I think Virtuous Unity mobile data has been fixed for the Incredible 2.

its possible i haven't checked in a few days... the only thing i think i benefit from on my phone is that CM& seams to be more resource intensive (might actually be haven't dung into the code that much) but for me to get the same prefromance on my phone i have to keep the processor at 1.5 and then it is the same as stock i am hoping this will chance when i start using a new rom as my DD

You should do it before the update!

Where ya going?
I think me and my daughter might try to go to alaska for a day or 2...
Morning all!

So far, I haven't found a Sense 3.0 ROM that will send or receive MMS for me. Currently downloading Virtuous Unity to give it a go.

Thats my biggest complaints about custom roms. There is always something that doesnt work... granted i havent flashed a rom since i was on winmo (omnia) but still.....

I really want a sense 3.0 though....

Now I know you fly for free but a day or two? Really? Lol. It just seems like you're shorting yourself.

Well I dont wanna use up my vacation... i just got my 2 weeks last week. Dont wanna blow them that quick:(

Plus its cheaper if i dont need to get a hotel:)
