BINGO! I think that's what I was thinking of. I'll check it out. But I have already downloaded my very first app. So much to learn! Thanks for finding this for me.

By the way, now that I'm trimming my first song (Lily was Here), how many seconds do you usually make a ringtone?
 
i got to my local verizon this morning at 7:45 am not knowing if there would be a line or people waiting to buy this phone. there were 3 other people waiting for the doors to open. once we got in there a few more people cam in to get the incredible but it wasn't mayhem like some people thought. they started with 50 units, by the time i left with mine 30 minutes later there were 45 left. i guess thats what no advertising can get you...

Same exact thing happened to me at BB. BB price is $599 and they refused to price-match it. I called the 800- BESTBUY number, spoke to a great rep who called the store, spoke to them, and, long story short, got them to match the $529 price. They were NOT happy about it though. I had $100 in gift cards and $75 in Reward Zone dollars. I am starting to dislike Best Buy. It seems like since Circuit City colsed a few years back, the reps attitudes have gone in the crapper. I shouldn't have to sacrifice my first born and a snickers bar to get a product from them. We're supposed to be in a recession, why cant they hire people that have better attitudes and some common sense? Unbelievable! I thought I was the only one that this happened to.
 
The incredible is truly incredible! 1st phone I have owned yet to live up to the hype. I got mine with the $30 NE2 discount and $25 reward zone

firstly, thank you for being here.
My new Incredible is charged. It is staring at me. I am staring at it. I am old, widowed, and live alone. This technology is so foreign to me. I am afraid to activate the dinc as I only have my cell service and am worried I will screw it up and not be able to make or receive calls. What have I done?
I have been reading on this forum for over 4 hours and still feel completely inept. Someone 'goose' me. Tell me I am going to learn about this. Tell me it will all be okay. My current phone is the Samsung Sway.............see how far behind I am?

hey all! missed you guys! Loving the new phone, less than thrilled on the battery but have taken to forums advice on maximizing it, and will no doubt order the extended when it's available.

Just wanted to say hi to the gang. . .

I don't know whats worse...the wait to get my hands on this lovely little piece of hardware. . (thats what she said!?) or the abysmal feeling of missing my forum friends?

Got mine for $199 - $100 NE2 and hopefully - SMART30 code $30 (called in this morning and they said they'd submit it) for a final total of $69.99 (plus the 2GB card that goes to my niece). Luv this phone! Coming from a 3G Multimedia phone to this is like moving from stone knives and bearskins to a Colt .45 and Armani! My battery life has held out better than expected and for the guy who had a problem with the charge port mine is very snug. Might wanna talk to a Verizon store rep about it.
 
haven't activated yet. quick question though. well actuall 2. first is wifi isn't working. is this b/c it isn't activated yet? it says not in range but i'm in my room were my computer is. also it won't sync to double twist. please help
 
so i am completely happy with my phone in every way. who else? i hope no one is disappointed and wants to take it back.
 
It's finally In my hands and I have to say that that this is the best Android device I have owned. Yes I have said this about all of the others but the Incredible is far above my expectations that I gathered from previous models. I went from a G1 to MT3G then the Eris and traded that for the Droid and finally landed with an Android I think I will be happy with for longer than six months. I hope everyone got what they expected with this. That's all for the praises and I think you all have a slightidea how I feel about this phone. If anyone has questions you can PM me but I dont answer forum question.
 
I just got my phone and it is surprisingly light, but it doesn't feel cheap at the least. I'm charging it for the first time as I'm typing and I cannot wait to get it all set up and used... I'm hoping to get an Anti-Glare Steinheil screen protector, the gradient case from VZN, a holster--possibly, and I already have an 8GB Class 6 A-DATA microSD--which I originally bought while waiting for the Nexus One.
 
Not that anyone cares, but I got mine today, got in at a verizon store, told the CSR I wanted a way to get around the mail in rebate and he said I could bill to my account, so I did, paid $200 out of pocket and billed the mail in rebate, by the time the rebate gets here I can just apply it to my account and all will be well.

The store I walked into had 35 this morning and at 12:30 when I got in had 3 left. Just by the hair of my chin! I'm stoked to have it though. Charging now. This is going to be a fun ride!
 
I still think the talk about the battery sucking may be a bit pre mature, I remember when I first got my Storm, the battery didn't last 4 hours! I was so pissed I ordered a new battery and a dedicated charging staion so that I could always have one at the ready. Well after the first week the battery found it's legs and I never even had to use the second battery! I'm 100% sure that will be the case with the Inc. battery so please everyone give it time the battery will hit it's sweet spot and this will be clear sailing from there on out!!!
 
Just wanted to say that I showed my Incredible to two of my friends who have iPhones today and they were both jealous of the things that it can do that their iPhone sadly cannot...

It's so sweet that this phone is actually as awesome as all of us thought it was going to be over the past months.

I think the battery's going to be fine, I got mine yesterday, charged it, and then spent 6 hours downloading apps, using the browser, using navigation, with the screen on the whole time, and then it finally got down to the red. If it can last 6 hours of continuous non-stop use, than I'm pretty sure it'll get through a regular day no problem.

One question, has anyone added video files to their Incredible and got them to play. I tried adding it to the internal memory and the sd card. I tried to video players off the market and both recognized the video on the sd card but couldn't play them. I set up one as H.264 and the other as an MP4, both of which should be playable on here. Any help appreciated.:)

Just got it! Stupid fast and crazy responsive.


But.................

THE FREAKIN SCREEN BLOWS!!! The white background is actually a slight pink and the resolution is nothing near the Droid. It reminds me of some blackberry screen or something.

I am super pissed. :mad:
