.::Droid Incredible Lounge::.

It was two things. I needed and d/l'd the motorola drivers. The second thing was the usb port wouldn't recognize the phone.. after the driver was installed the other port did. It's a new computer so I'm gonna call Sony now. BTW, I d/l a bunch of root apps. I am coming to you now via tether...not that I need it... BUT I CAN!!!!!! :) :)

I'm getting 1.31 mb d/l and .5 or so mb upload, via tether.

Edit: I love my phone. I love android!

nice thats not bad... i got that kinda speed some with my dinc i think... but dont use it right now bc i dont need it (we got internet finally)

Seems that way,,,,,,, And i pretty sure at least a couple of the loungers are west coast, not even very late there. O well, guess thats a hint that it is getting late.

I was up until 4 am eastern playing with my rooted DX. :) Love it!

I have been hesitant to root. So far, I don't see the need as my Dinc does everything I want it to. But I am curious to try it. Did you use the "one-click" method? How tough was it?

I added a custom boot animation, so I think I could do it. But I'm scared! :D

Musky,

I used the one click method. It was veeery easy. Too easy! Boom! Done!

I had made a mistake, however, in the beginning, which gave me difficulties. I had the phone set on the wrong USB connection setting. I had it on external drive rather than PC mode. woops.:rolleyes:

I have these GREAT apps on it now.

I've even tethered a few times. Not that I need it, but just to see if I could do it. Yup. I can! I was on vacation last fall at Disney. Their wifi was very expensive. I could have used the tether, then, for sure. So there are times when tether and rooting really come in handy. I think I'm going to wait to remove bloatware until Froyo comes out. I don't want to have any trouble upgrading.

Of course, after Froyo comes out, I'll be at square one waiting for root. ;)
