Droid vs. Droid vs. Droid

Have an HTC Incredible going back to the store. I'l like the better processor, graphics, larger battery, larger screen, etc. The Inc has the non-responsive screen grounding issues and thus will be refunded. I THOUGHT there would be a ton of accessories for the incredible, but not. What Will the Droid X and 2 work with existing droid 1 accessories, car docks, desktop docks, etc? I know covers won't work. What about extended batteries?

There will be a 1950Mha I believe, extended battery abailable, and it will only make the Droid x 1millimeter thicker. So this battery could be worth it and make the phone outlast the Iphone 4.

Hopefully they will have some nice cases on launch day

I wont be putting a case on this baby, it will make it to big. Plus I hear the build quality is amazing and I have dropped my droid on the cement twice and all that happened was a few knicks in the metal.

It will not work with original droid accesories. The phones are a completely different shape and size, plus a multimedia dock and car dock have been announced for the Droid X. given everything we know about all three phones, the X is the clear winner to me.

Car and desk clock for me. Then the extended battery that will still fit those docks. Probably a stick on skin as a case will make the large phone even larger.

I hope they figured out a way to have the docks work with a case on or with a high capacity battery. I hate that my Droid can't do that.

Yep the only down side to these (or most for that matter) accessories is that they are made for devices with no cases.

It would be easy to make it work for multiple devices. Put in a removable insert that has the contour of the phone, phone and 1-5 popular cases. Just put in the right tray. You see this on a lot of Ipod docks! Fits nano, 2G etc. Simple and easy, but can't figure out why they cannot do this.

Definitely like that idea, but don't want a huge phone to be even larger. I'm coming from an Inc and like to keep it small. Novel idea and if integrated into the phone like EVO, really sweet. I just watched Iron Man 2 will resting against a cup of water. Kickstand would have been nice.

I laid my Inc with silicone case next to a naked EVO, the EVO was only so slightly larger. SO, if the Inc with case is close (still smaller) than the X with a skin instead of a silicone case, it should be acceptable. The 4.3 screen will make up for a lot of my hesitation with a larger phone! I cannot believe I'm going this big for a phone! Just when everything in the mobile market was going small, smaller, smallest. Now it 3.5, 3.7, 4.0, 4.3 and I have no doubt larger. When the phone goes edge to edge all screen display (not just glass like now) and stays the same size, I might go larger. Might as well use that 1/4 inch of non display on either side.

Everyone has a personal line to draw at size. I thought the 3.7 Inc was as big as I'd like, but now the 4.3 DX is on order. Would I like a 5" sure if it was the same form factor as the DX or smaller. I'd draw the line at 4.3" for pocket-ability. Heck, I have a set of cargo pants and the "cell phone" pocket won't fit my Inc! Definitely wont fit the DX. Guess I need to buy new pants to fit my phone? ha, ha, ha what a novelty thought. Changing my wardrobe to fit my phone.
