yeah breaking down a phone can be tricky but its really not that difficult. However it is risky, and I sure as hell wouldn't breakdown a phone I couldn't return the next day and claim "I don't know what happen! It just stopped working!" LOL
 
I just wish he knew what a Torx screwdriver was.

"Then you'll need a T5, umm these things, it's called a T5 it's like a star a screw thing"

"What you wanna do is, takea likea a little thing here"

"I don't have a T4 thing here"
 
Seeing my future phone this way was very, very disturbing to me. ;)
 
I've had to do this to a few phones, and I can tell you from experience that it is very useful to have a guide on how to disassemble a phone. My Vogue's screen cracked and I had to replace it, there was already a guide, so that was pretty easy. My Eris got a ton of dust under the screen and there was no guide anywhere, it took me a month or so to figure out how to do it. Most recently, my Incredible got some dust under the screen as well, but luckily I bought it direct from VZW, so I could just return it. Those were all HTC devices, so I'm really hoping that the X has a little better build quality(much like the Droid), so I don't ever have to attempt this.
 
I'm pretty sure it was put back together after that guys. Well... I think so. That's what I tell myself at least so I can sleep at night. ;)
