Help Droid X Screen Doesn't = Glass

ooja3k

Newbie
Well, in my opinion the Droid X's screen is not made out of glass. This may be extreme, but its at least flexible.

It is far too flexible (pressible and flexy inward) to be stiff glass.

Sometimes when pressing the screen, (not too hard) I can see the LED screen do the rainbow effect/black wavvy ness.

I will take some pictures of the flexibleness (is that a word) of the screen showing the discoloration when pressing. Hold on for pics.

If you want to try: Open up Google (or any large white screen) and then press around your screen with medium (but not excessive) pressure. I'm guessing you will see the discoloration too. The discoloration is right in the middle where the point of "most flex" would be.

Ok, well maybe im pressing too hard, but still, it shouldn't flex right?

The screen is very sensitive....why are you pressing so hard? It's not a blackberry storm lol

it is glass, and it is meant to be flexible. just because it isn't like a glass window doesnt mean its not glass

looks like you are pressing way to hard! I can hover my finger over the glass sometimes and it will select what i want. super sensitive and responsive here. no need to apply ANY force to the screen.

I noticed the same thing after trying to massage out a dead pixel. Unfortunately, the dead pixel is too close to the edge and the screen only flexes in the middle.
