Missed this bit of news as it was pulled from a lot of sites by Verizon's request.

Anyhow, it looks as though a Droid X Special Edition will come out (possibly overclocked to 1.2 ghz?)

I doubt they would have any hardware changes/manipulations but probably a different color bezel and a different wallpaper or layout...

i was at a Q4 ralley for vzw today. saw the droid 2 world ed, samsung continuum, droid pro, htc merge, lg vortex, but no mention of a SE X. saw some other stuff that was really interesting too.
i usually hear about phones before they even leak, but have heard no mention of this. they are either keeping it really close to the chest, or it doesnt exist. my vote is for the latter.

Just got the new DroidX SE!! Not a rumor guys. This thing is freakin sweet. Super fast. Clocked at 1.5 GHz with 2264 on Quadrant and 21.3 linpack. Uncle works over at the Big M. You jealous??
