Root Droid X2 BootStrapper: is it safe to use: ?

:confused:now that there is a functioning DX2 boot strap apk, is it safe to try something simple like the boot logo changer or themes for an X1 model? :confused:Really would like some expert advice before I screw up my phone:eek:

keep in mind most x1's are running gingerbread, whereas X2 is still stuck on 2.2 Froyo
 
so what are you asking? can you use the x2 bootstrapper for the x1? = no
can you use the x2 bootstrapper to import x1 themes? = unless you want a brick go for it
can you use the x2 bootstrapper to change the bootlogo from a x1 theme = possibly

Yeah, now that I went back through and actually took time to completely read (yeah I'm lazy sometimes lol), I see that. Sorry.

I now have a question for the OP: Since we have the D2 bootstrapper, and the DX bootstrapper, why would you want to use the DX2 bootstrapper? Is there some sort of functionality in it that the other 2 bootstrappers don't have?

he has an X2 he wants to know certain files from the X1 will be successfully flashed to the X2

he cant use the DX/2 Bootstrapper for his X2

DX and D2 Bootstrapper do not work on X2, or at least on mine
 
I have not heard any news that says the DX or D2 bootstrapper will work on the DX2, but I could be wrong.
 
the dx2 bootstrapper shouldnt work on the x1 or d2, if it did, then everything that went for the dx1 will easily move to the dx2

well, I am going to hold off for now, I am not ready to take the risk until more research has been done.

I am still not confident that the SBF file is stable enough to pull me out of a bricked phone.
 
i would hold off until there are boot logos and animations for the dx2, though i imagine they may be able to be installed by the same method as the X1
