DroidWall (data firewall) is acting up. help plz

Ok so I noticed when I switched from cm10 to fl04 that droidwall wasnt doing its job right. On cyanogenmod it worked absolutely flawlessly. upon switching to fl04 it would block data from being transmitted or received only on certain apps while letting other apps that were supposed to be blocked access the internet. Email would still work even though it was selected not to. i block the play store when I dont use it. At first it would prevent the playstore from data exchange, but now all of the sudden its failing to do that. I thought that maybe I should uninstall droidwall and reinstall it. To see if I get different results. I opened the fresh downloaded one and selected all to be blocked (yes, black list. Not white list). I chose to block play store and applied rules. I opened up the play store and voila... it worked... even though it shouldnt be working due to the firewall. So obviously its not doing its job. Im a bit irratated cause before it worked perfectly. Have any of u ran into this or know my problem?

Also... it does seem to be working on apps like angry birds because I never receive ads with the free version which is supposed to have them pop up periodically. So I know its working there.

Any suggestions? Thx for taking the time to read this btw.

Just tried a few more "blocked apps". They werent blocked like they were supposed.to be.

Chrome
Email
Maps
AdAway

Theyre all sending and receiving data when they are supposed to be blocked from doing so. This is stupid. I wonder if it would do this on ga10 whicj im about to switch to?

I enjoyed the privacy of knowing data wasnt coming in or going anywhere with certain apps. That blanket of security is goneeee...

Until i fix it or just go back to cm10. Tw is pissin me off. Lol

I have nothing to compare it to. I've never used droid wall. I only told him about it bcuz if his was having trouble maybe that one would work. But if I had to describe the interface I would just say everything is simple. And simple can be a good thing

That's cool. I'm glad you told us about it. It's good to have choices in apps. I'll check it out. :D

Hey guys thx for the responses. Ill try clearing data but I essentially did that when I redownloaded it.
Ya its worked so good for me in the past... I hate to switch. Codegerm did u not have any problems with droidwall when om fl04?

No, you have to go into settings and app manager and clear data for the app. Re-downloading doesn't always clear data from a misbehaving app. I have discovered that first hand. Clear data first before doing an uninstall and reinstall..

No I didn't have problems, but then I have a habit of clearing data on vital apps when I change ROMs too.

Give the one SelfElevated2 mentioned a try. It is free and may fix the issue for you. From the screen shots I saw on the play-store it has a good looking interface.
