dropped phone in cup of water for a split second works some but continues to say battery temp to low also says no sim card but then it will work again do I need a new phone or can this be fixed

Your best bet is to:
1. first, remove power (i.e., the battery) if you can
2. remove any excess / obvious / surface water that you can
3. place your device in a sealed device with some kind of desiccant like dried rice for as many days as you can stand, changing the desiccant each day
