I picked mine up yesterday afternoon (4:00) at BB, very good service. They had 4 pre-orders and received 4 phones. There is a Verizon Corp Store 50 ft away and I went there to check on cases, the store received 98 phones and all were gone and most of the accessories. The Verizon store told me on Wed that they would have plenty on launch day and would not run out, ha ha.

I called Verizon yesterday and talked to a guy about sending back my Ally to get an X. He went and ordered the phone and gave me an order number. He said it went through fine and I should get a Fedex tracking number soon. I ordered this at 11 am EST and the phone is expected to arrive on monday. I wonder why I got my order through on the phone and people had such trouble online?

And yes, I got a tracking number from fedex. It just a few states away

I placed my Droid X order online at 10:20am, but I have yet to receive any other e-mail confirmation other than the original e-mail with my order details. I logged into VZW's website and no update there, either, on my order. I forgot to put in the code for free next-day air, so maybe I won't have it on Monday. Not a big deal, but I don't want to wait over one week for it, which would be B.S.

They may be overwelmed mine was ordered and picked up yesterday it was scheduled with 2 day shipping 19th is the del date..Don't know why but fedex hasn't udated their website since last night at 2:24am central,,so SAalesman guaranteed del today if it isn't i want some discounts on accesories..

Ordered w/VZN yesterday morning between 5:15am/5:30 AM CST, this was a replacement for my Incredible that was defective, CSR promised it would ship yesterday for delivery today - Didn't happen now I am being told on or before 7/23 WTF???????

YES,YES,YES, I ordered at 2:30am central time on the 15th by phone and I have been calling and calling customer service to see what was going on with my order because I got the order # when I ordered the phone but never got a email. My phone order was approved by a supervisor this morning around 6am Central time but still no email and I just now got my email that my order was shipped at 3pm central time. I got my fed ex tracking info and it says it wont get here until the 20th but atleast it is on its way. I am so excited and cant wait. Good luck to all of you who are still waiting. remember 5 minutes ago I was in the same boat wondering where my order was and refreshing my email every 2 minutes.

This is just stupid. THey knew dam well this phone was in mad demand. You would think after the Incredible shortage they would have planned better. Glad I ordered at 12:02 but still no tracking info.

Just got mine at 245 i think.and i love it! I had a lot of trouble activating.it but after a few calls to csr it worked out. I just don't kno how to use it! Haha

I ordered mine last night and it originally said 7/23. Just a while ago, I got an email and a FEDEX tracking number that said it will be here 7/20 - yay!

I got to my store yesterday at 9:20 am (they opened at 9 am). There were about 2 dozen people in front of me (all of them were getting the X by the way). They took my name down and told me there were 5 people in front of me (people that did not have a preset appointment). As it was getting close to my turn (1 person in front of me as this point), they said they were sold out of the X. I finally got the front and walked out of the store 15 minutes later with the absolute last X in the store. A rep told me they sold 20 X's within 15 minutes (basically right before I got there). The rep also told me that they were expecting another shipment of X's in on Tuesday to the store. I walked out of the store with the Droid X, Anti-Glare Display Protector (3 pack), and Carbon Fiber case.

I also bought the HDMI Multimedia Desktop Charger, HDMI cable, and 32 GB microSD card with SD Adapter and Microreader. The rep told me that I saved $100 by bundling them and ordering them from the warehouse (since they couldn't do the bundle discount in the store due to not having the 32GB card in stock). The bundle should be delivered by tomorrow. I was extremely lucky that I got there (and got the last Droid X in the store) when I did since 10 more people arrived at the store after I did.

There appear to be some trickling into stores today. My X that I picked up yesterday died this afternoon. I stopped in a store and they worked on it for an hour before they determined that beyond repair. The CSR initially thought that I would have to wait at least a week for a replacement, but after making a few calls found that some more shipments had been delivered to several stores in the area this afternoon. He found that a store several miles away (Quakertown, PA) had several and reserved one for me. I went to that store and while they were taking care come me, the CSR indicated that they had received about a dozen this afternoon and not one had been sold yet. He was thinking that most people just assumed that everyone was out of stock. It may be worth calling around if you are still looking for one.

Sort of a long story, but anyways....

I have a friend who works at "Wireless Zone", which is a Authorized Verizon Retailer. I asked him to put an X aside for me, for which he did. Their shipment did not come in on Thursday. No biggie I figure.

I go in today, the shipment has arrived. He goes into my account info, and since my contract isn't due up until next month, he couldn't upgrade me. He called Verizon, and they told him they couldn't do it. He mentioned the "Anytime in 2010" stuff from the ad, and they said it was only available to people who did not already have Smartphones.

So, I decided to call Verizon this afternoon. I only waited on hold for about 3 minutes. A nice woman answered my call, told her the issue. She told me the "Anytime in 2010" wasn't available for Wireless Zone, and could only be done through Verizon or a Verizon store. She then offered to upgrade me to the X then and there.

I guess the shortage is B.S.? She told me the X would ship out today. I got an e-mail from Verizon a couple of hours later with the tracking #. As of 6:22pm it was picked up, and scheduled for delivery on Tuesday. Can't wait!

I stayed up way past my bedtime Thursday night to order my very first smartphone. Have an order number, but nothing more since.

To those who ordered at a more decent time Thursday morning and have your X, I'm green with envy. Is there anyone else who is in the same boat as me?

I think I might even get my screen protectors (ordered separately) before I get my phone. Sigh.
