Dumped Sprint Hero, Should I give it a go with MyTouch?

I'm a light to moderate user and I can usually go about 15-16 hrs. This is with either 3G or WiFi running (one or theother) and no bluetooth. I only run 3G at work because I don't get 3G where I live. I have WiFi turned at home since I don't get 3G but have a wireless network set up there. For my needs, it's just fine. If I use it more than normal, I can usually just plug it in during the day but it's acceptable. Just about every other Android/touchscreen phone is worse although I don't know for sure about Droid. Bottom line, I'm fairly happy with this phone.

For any potential new users, the battery has been great for me. I use a process of killing all apps and process automatically when I turn the screen off using "Automatic Task Killer". Loving this device and Android, no doubt.

I returned my Hero after 4 days, horrible implementation of Android for many, many reasons.

I'm a power user that device won't last 2 years, I like the MT3G hardware much better and am considering the Fender Edition.

With the new roms, rooting and 1.6, how is battery life? Can you get away with one charge a day with moderate use?

I can highly recommend the MT3G, as an owner to two G1's as well. the MyTouch is nice ... the better Keyboard app makes the virtual keyboad nice and i dont miss the physical keyboards ... I hardly even use the keyboard on the G1 as well...
