Root [Duos] Rooting and unrooting using unlock root

Hi all experts peoples,

I need your help to give me an answer..my concern is that i bought a new phone then i did root using unlockroot software and i uninstalled the application which i dont want (example: samung app, chaton, chrome etc) but after some days i did unroot my phone using the same software(unlockroot) and i did a factory reset so i want to know if the samsung gallery people will know that i rooted my phone or it will void my warrenty? kindly pass your answer.

Note:i did not install any custom rom. still i have stock rom which come with samsung phone. it just after unrooting i dont have apps(samsung apps, chaton, chrome etc) so samsung gallery peoples will know it? and void warrenty?

Thanks,

It depends what anyone looks for. The absence of certain apps would suggest to me that the software was interfered with at some point. But it's possible nobody will notice or care.

If you want it less obvious then you should reflash a stock ROM, which will replace the stuff you didn't want. Of course that may defeat the whole point!

Factory reset really should be called factory data reset - all it does is erase user apps, data and settings. It doesn't and cannot restore any software.

Technically if pre-installed apps are absent that would mean the phone software has been interfered with. And rooting would be by far the most likely way it was done.

I doubt this is how they would normally look to see whether you'd been fiddling, but in principle if they spotted this they'd know you'd done something. And if it's one of those service centres which cares (because not all do) then I suspect that if you check your warranty terms they don't mention root at all, but do mention modifying the software.

good info..actually bring phone to service center for formating or update..how they all test if phone is rooted.is they use some kind of utilities? or they test only if phone have some hardware issue or in normal formatingor update they dont care much if rooted or not?

Not much to add here that Hadron hasn't touched on :)

Most companies dont seem to care if its rooted or not. The ones that do are more concerned with you tethering for free. (Carriers) I have verizon and when I bootloooped :o my phone a while back they still tried to help me fix it and was even considering a replacement and they knew it was rooted.

Hi argedian thanks for reply. actually i am from india and in india there is no bound like this that we should use that device with particular carrier.we can use any carriers sim as we wish..we are free to choose our carriers.i have galaxy s duos and it dont have any carrier logo as well..so what you think? if carrier is not a concern at all then it is fine wether i have rooted or uninstall apps?
