Tally one up for me on dust under the screen. Got my HERO December 28th. About a week later it has dust under the top right corner and bottom left corner. They need to fix this, it's just an annoyance.

Do either of you guys that don't have dust ever keep your phone in your pocket? I seem to detect a trend that keeping it in your pocket is a major source of dust. I used to keep mine in my pocket and got dust. For that last 2 months I have been keeping it a case and have not noticed any increase in dust since then.

I have a question for those who have taken the phone apart. Do you think that a possible fix could be to apply a very very thin layer (from one side to the other right below the glass) of clear silicone to divide and seal the buttons area from the glass area?

Do you think this could work?

I originally posted no dust, but I now have dust building up noticably under the lower left part of the screen. I keep my phone pocketed usually. Does anyone know if Best Buy will exchange this or will I have to try and disassemble the phone and clean it myself? If I do take it apart, I will look at some sealant to solve the problem.

2.5 weeks and dust.. seems to come from the top corners. "with Google" ..

I bought the phone and contract online, whats the best way to get the phone replaced? Local Sprint Store? I think next time I will try to put the invisible shield over the gaps.

Right now there is not a ton of dust, so its not a huge deal, but is is distracting and lame.

3 weeks "with Google" and no dust yet.....knocking on wood as I type. :)

I do put my phone in my pocket coming and going from the office, but leave it on the desk during the day. Only in my pocket during transition - I try to minimize pocket time to avoid a Dust incident! so far it has worked.

Still knockin.....

Been about a month and a half.

Got dust.

It gets in from the metal part of the bottom phone where it meets with the screen.

Idiots who designed it this way.... But Looks like I will just take it apart and clean it.

I've had my hero since day 1 (Oct 11th).
I used to be able to suck the dust out, but now I can't any more.
It's mainly in the upper right.
Another person in my family has it in both the upper right and lower left.

HTC / Google / Sprint: No dust... yet. I look at the screen very closely every day because I fear the dust!!

the "NO Dust" votes went up quite a bit since the last time I checked. weird

it used to be about 50/50

What day is it? Oh yeah, looks like 5 months now with no dust. Screen is clear as a bell, HA HA I crack myself up.

Anyway, feel sorry for you all that seem to live in a dust bowl. I work in a warehouse and have my phone out alot and its bare with no dust.

The first hero I had got a lot of dust in it very quickly. The second hero I got I have had now for 5 weeks and no dust. I keep it naked in my pocket all the time and when I pull the hero sometimes it will have dust and lint all over it, but no dust under the screen so far.
