Dust under screen

Today when I was outside with the screen off, I noticed that I have dust building up under my Evo V screen at one position near the top just to the left of the sprint logo. I have only had the phone for 2 weeks. I had this problem years ago with an LG VX10, but it didn't start showing dust until about 1.5 years of use.

Does anyone else have this problem or is this just a rare case? I do keep it in my pocket, and I have read in other forums that this can be a problem but not with all phones. I usually keep my phones for a couple years, but it could be really bad by then. Should I return it?

I had some in my 1st unit that I returned for a different reason and my new unit has some tiny ones out of the box. Since it's off to the side and don't notice in normal use, I just kept it.

Use a case. I had my phone since it came out and i dont notice any dust at all. i purchased this case about 2 weeks ago.

I use the same case as well. Very good looking case. Power/volume buttons become less responsive, but still work. Not sure if this would prevent dust from entering.

I assume this case will just slow the introduction of the dust under the screen, but not prevent it completely. It seems like there is a manufacturing or design problem, but I was hoping it was just mine. Does everyone use cases with their Evo V?

No case here on 2 vevos for almost 1 month, no dust. If its bad then return it.

Nothing worse then that dust. If anyone has that issue I would suggest returning the phone immediately. No reason to suffer with that. I just wish that manufacturers could all bond the screen to the digitizer. 0 risk of dust there
