Dust under the screen

HAHA, so i called 611 and told them i bought he phone late Friday night and noticed the issue on Sunday and he said i could take it into the store to have a tech clean it. I was thinking WTF. I would rather have a few specs of dust on it then have it dismantled and then put back to gather and having fingerprints on the inside of the screen instead.

I am calling back to night and telling them that i stopped into the store and they said I should get a replacement as the phone is only a few days old.

At very minimum i want notes on my account saying i can return it later if it gets worse

How about this for screen issues. That's my Dad's phone with the pink hue sitting next to my phone with a properly white screen.

Did you try the brightness settings? Yours looks like it is set brighter.

I recently found two specks of dust/particles under the bottom right of my screen. Thought I was good until I took the phone outside and noticed it after trying to clean the screen.

Just called 611, the CSR was extremely nice, shipped a replacement out immediately and actually gave me the $30 Smart30 credit!! Thought it wouldn't hurt to ask and she said she was familiar with it and would be glad to credit it to my account. I also signed up for a one year plan, which supposedly wasn't eligible for the discount.

Same here, went to the store the people there were giving me a hard time, they thought it wasn't a solid reason for a return, called 611 right away and bam, new phone on the way, said delivery by Friday, the CSR was super nice as well no issues whatsoever, just explained the situation.

Just wondering, I had to have mine replaced also, should be here on Friday. However they charged my credit card $199, and it will be refunded once I ship the faulty unit back to them. Did they do the same with you or just ship you out a new one?

Ok so I just got off of the phone with CS. I had dust under my screen and my camera was locking up the phone. I told CS about both problems and she just seemed to be worried about the camera, made me do a hard reset, and didn

From what I been reading above its a spec or two the people have seen, but after a couple of days of use I notice this morning that the bottem left corner has about 100 specs of dust. It appears to originated in the corner and spread outward the way the light comes out of the headlight of a car. I keep this phone well protected, so I have no idea how it happened. The wired part is, is that I can see some dust on the top screen and some on the screen below that. I can defenitly see there is space in between the two. I saw it on my way to work, but as soon as I get home I'll take a good picture from my SLR and hope you guys can see it as i do.

No magnifying glass here....its noticeable! Especial in the Sun....when phones off you see the dust and when the phone is on it looks like glitter all sparkly and stuff

Most definetly...and here is what Im talking about.....now tell me you dont notice this shi#...you can tell its attached to the bottem of the top glass and the top of the bottem glass.

Hmmm....looking at the pic....do you think its caused by the USB? Either way it needs to be replace....no matter what! That just is unacceptable...do we agree ( not you specifically, but in general to all who posted ) or are we still at "its just a little dust, get over it?"

I hate dust under the screen. I had that on my old Curve. I wonder if screen protectors help prevent that?

i totally agree on getting it exchanged. i didnt get mine under contract payed 580 and i damn sure wont have anything worst than the best in my 500 dollar investment. not to mention like i staTED let something happen to the phone (you drop it for example) when you take it to verizon theyll try to pick the phone to death to find any physical damage to show that the phone isnt in top condition so they can say " oh we cant do nothing cause you have dropped this phone before." done know how but on the storm 2 the digitizer and the touch screeen are double sided taped together but some how sand got in between the 2. i had the whole phone torn apart looking at it.

You will definitely not have an issue exchanging it, I got it exchanged no problem with just having 4 specs, you have a bunch. I also think it's due to the USB but obviously not sure.

I don't believe that is dust--I think it's a defective screen. I had a touch screen Versa that developed what looked like a huge scratch on the screen although it had always been covered by a protector.

Took it to the Vz store and the techs looked at and said it was a defective screen and promptly replaced it.

I took another look and its not the screen....as mentions its on both top and bottem glass. I also was able to get the dust to move up screen

It should be......it deters my ability to view the the screen properly

But I am afraid that after two days it has dust, imagine what it will be like in a year or so. But what I can gather is why everyone is complaining about it being this "white" dust. I mean aren't their other colors of dust and they two could get into a phone.

I doubt it because screen protectors don't extend beyond the edge of the glass. So the gap between the glass and the frame is still not covered.

Well Verizon just called me back and the CSR said she did not transfer me to the right department to process my warrenty return. She transfered me to another person and she was like this is being shipped to you are no charge (duh) and so forth. But she said they are on backorder till the 14th and it would be the 17th before I received mine. She also gave me an order number and what not. I am confused because she said you are getting this on a bogo and the second one will be free. IDK what she is talking about. But I said I will have a return label to send my old one back right, and she was like correct.
