Check my post just before yours. I quickly explain the difference between cooked/-themed roms and a true custom aosp build.
 
Btw...

This theme is sweet... feels smooth, nice futuristic feel to the animations and the font fits well with the metallic/electronic overall look.

I may give you a little poop for the mislable of rom but you do have good taste and an eye for this... keep em coming man.

It looks like he gave up because of people. That's so sad. Is there anywhere else this is posted? I never got the chance to download it and he took the URL down

IMo there are actually three levels.

a "retheme" which can be something like i took johnny's rom applied a theme AND ALL SORTS OF KEWL TWEAKS!!1 LOLOLOLOL

a "rom" where someone takes the stock software and builds iit into something better, by various tweaks tools tips etc whatever fairy magic they want.

then there is source based roms (cm7 or AOSP) these roms are the best hands down. offer so much more options. but the issue with these is they tend to be long projects that sometimes never fully work. as porting them to different phones and hardware continues to grow harder and harder

as you can gather im not a big fan of rethemes, but i think someone taking stock software and truly doing something with it should deserve the title of rom... a lot of samsung devices (due to bml's and samsung crap) will never know aosp... some may get cm7 tho...

I love it when that happens. :D

Sometimes I may seem rude when explaining something but then again text is not the best conveyor of speech sometimes... that's why god made smilies.

However it blows when there is an overblown reaction to a simple misunderstanding or misnaming. Often the reaction is from an otherwise decient person who feels threatened personally or overprotective of the community as a whole.
that's what we saw here. At least IMO.
Someone got a tad overprotective and/or a big head and overreacted.
I'm just happy it didn't drive a creative, intellegent and so far decient themer off the site. Despite a small terminological error.
 
I was going thru the post and just wanted to apologize to dwayne. I noticed my post sounded kinda mean and I didnt mean too. I havent used the themes nor know how they affect the phone speed wise or anything but I do appreciate the work and time you put in to it also. I dont know how to do anything you guys do. I wish I did. I can build a computer from scratch, fix dead motherboards and psu's, install softwares and remove viruses from computers but I dont know anything about what you guys do. It really does get my curiousity and wish there was a site that would teach us this things but Ive never found any. Sorry if I sounded insulting to you or anyone, not what I meant to do.

Its Ok Its just that people was just bringing me down and trying to correct me so much it got to me but i will keep u up to date if you use any of my themes and maybe you you can help me with my computer problems, can i pm you?:o:o:o:o:o:o:o:o

Ok Here we Go Again You Point Out the most weirdest things. I Think By Now People know its not a theme if i listed instructions in the download. Just Like you told me to get my own thread thats what i did now its a problem. ok i know im not perfect but atleast im trying to get to a higher point like you. im a fan of what you do but you seem to be u dont like what i do. this is one reason why i didnt want to do this so tell me now should i just close my thread delete everything and do some else, will that make you happy

I'm pointing out facts. Your trying to take credit for other developers work. you want people to donate to you for someone elses hard work. This is what drives developers away. If you don't like me giving you a hard time try posting something you did n not someone elses work.
