I will second Dolphin HD.
I used to be one of those that thought: "What the heck is the difference? What's wrong with the stock browser? How could anything be better? These people will jump on any new bandwagon. Stock browser works just fine".
I tried regular Dolphin and went back to the stock browser. Wasn't impressed at all. Then I tried the Dolphin HD and never went back.
The main reason I like it is the 'swipe to favorites' feature.
 
Launcher Pro is a home screen replacement, not a browser. I use xScope6, because of it's features, but it isn't quite as fast as the stock browser. I've tried many browsers and they all have their problems. I want fast and must have a home button....still searching.
 
The stock browser has by far the highest actual performance. No other browser is even in the same league when it comes to javascript numbers. There are features and differences in UI that other browsers have that some may find more attractive than actual speed or stability however.
