try going into settings/applications/manage applications/find your email app and clear data. then go into sync and accounts and re sync your app.

I'm have the same problem but clearing data and sync doesn't work. It started two weeks ago. I deleted and reinstalled the hotmail account which fixed it. Two weeks later and it's back. The emails are from my junk folder in my carolina.rr.com account.
