Root easiest way to get from 2.3.9 without going to a store?

Ok so I seem to be stuck on that leaked upgrade and it won't let me do system updates. Is there a link somewhere to a zip for the newest version like there was for 2. 3.9? Thanks.
 
yea i was extremely overwhelmed too, but it's pretty easy.

1. SBF - Droid X 2.2 Full SBF leaked - Download now
2. if roaming icon (blue triangle) is in your notification bar - dial *228 option 2
3. if 3G isn't working - dial *22899
4. push the software update - setting>about phone>software updates
5. root with z4root if you want - [APP] z4root - xda-developers
6. ROMs! (i suggested apex 1.3.1) - http://androidforums.com/droid-x-al...id-x-running-running-fast-can-12-16-10-a.html

then you're good to go.
