Root Editing Framework.Res problems

Basically I unpack framework.res.apk. I swap some of the images. I repack the apk. Push it to my phone. Phone will NOT boot up.

I've tried 2 different ways of packing apk's and I still can't get it. But If I go back and push the original framework.res the phone will boot up as normal.

What am i missing?

I've even tried taking the original, unpacked it then packed it just to see and it still wouldn't boot. I made no changes. So it has to be in the packing stage right?

(Im using apk pack/edit and APKEdit)

Never mind. I just bypassed the whole decompile and compile thing and just added it to the apk through 7zip. Wish I would have done that to begin with. SMH.

Mod can delete this this thread its useless.

Yea 7zip makes it a whole lot easier. Thats all Ive used for porting those themes.
