EE4 update live, works.

I'm lucky here in ATL and most areas I am in are strong 4G, including my home. Prior to EE$ I did have big issues when the phone would drop form 4G to 3G and back. Have not have many switches since EE4, but the 1 or 2 I did have seemed to go smoother.

It won't be but you should get it in a few days pushed to you "system update"

I bought the phone and when the clerk turned it on to activate it, the update immediately came up. He set the phone down while it was updating and he said "it's installing an update that came out a couple of days ago".

Sure enough, it's EE4, I just checked. I'm stoked!

Just exchanged my thunderbolt for a charge and the update prompted in the store as soon as the phone was turned on. This is a great phone!
