Help Email Account Help!

Hi there,

I am trying to add my hotmail account to my HTC Hero and it is not working.

• I go to add it and come to a menu.
• I choose "Other (POP3/IMAP)".
• Type in my hotmail address and password and press 'next'.

Then a menu comes up with "Protocol" which has 'POP' in it.

Under that is my email address, username, password, "Pop Server" (set to 'hotmail.co.uk'), "Security Type" (set to none) and "Server Port" (set to 110 by default).

When I press Next it says:

WARNING
Cannot connect to the mail server to verify your account information. Ypur server is not responding.

What can I do? :-/

Yeah they did, sorry I never got back to you about it. Works with both Hotmail and Gmail again!

Great! I just wanted to be sure in case someone else found this topic, saw my suggestion and ended up on a wild goose chase. That would have been embarrassing.
