my yahoo mail aren't coming into my mailbox automatically. I have to click sync to retrieve my email.

the LED light for email notification isn't turning on when email arrive.

what is wrong with my note?
I might have changed some settings but I can't find those settings anymore.

it's not you! it's freaking Yahoo. their YM App for android is very unstable.
as of yesterday the Push stopped working again. meaning the inbox doesn't update automatically and when it doesn't then there is no notification.

Are you using the actual yahoo mail app? If so that's way as already stated above.

Very recommended to use the native email app, im pretty sure it's integrated to work with yahoo.

that doesn't work at all. that's why we moved to Yahoo App. TouchWiz email is not consistent.

OoOo well ignore what I said then lol, yahoo worked on the native when I had an htc device not long ago but haven't tested since I got my Sammy.

Just assuming :)

yea, it also worked on my Galaxy Nexus running pure Android. but touchwiz messes certain things up.

The email app built into my Note, then Note 2, has been fantastic and works as advertised. I have had many issues with various email accounts but they have always been tracked down to the provider and not the mail client.
I have various accounts across POP3, IMAP and activesync and it is great to access them all from one app.

Admittedly I don't use Yahoo mail. It is notoriously bad and not the fault of the email program (as I said I use the default email that comes with Samsungs).

Supporting PCs I have had people have problems with outlook, outlook express and various phones have problems with Yahoo mail. The most common being that of going hours on end not excepting credentials and keeping popping up with a password reminder (on the PC). With phones I will just have people tell me they get no mail for hours or days then it turns up all at once.

There are a number of forum posts with alternative server addresses that seem to work better but I have none to hand just now. I'll look them up when I get in to work.

my gmail & yahoo are working fine but the issue is no LED indicator light.

The LED light used to flash when email arrive into inbox. now there is no LED light at all. I just already did a reset to factory setting and reinstalled all apps. The LED light indicator doesn't work for email at all.

I use Yahoo, Gmail, Live/hotmail routinely and have used desktop based Outlook extensively.

My main email program has been Yahoo Mail Plus for over 13 years and I love this program over other web based services, because it offers the best package. The free version of Yahoo is inferior and I can't comment on it.

Yahoo Mail Plus offers me multiple accounts, disposable accounts, no ads, up to 100 meg of attachment at no charge, truly excellent interface. However, it used to be a bit slow and unreliable and now seems to be working fine. However, I route all my emails first to my Gmail account and then to Yahoo as a backup. This is a habit I picked up a few years ago, when Yahoo was having trouble with stability.

Also, Yahoo Mail Plus has the best interface of any web based email program I have seen. And Gamil has the worst. I actually really dislike Gmail, but it's so darn reliable that it works great as a back up.

You don't get LED on Gmail either? My Yahoo App is working again by the way. Make sure you haven't turned off notification in the settings.

funny i no longer have a syncing issue with yahoo app.

on an earlier thread i told everyone how to easily make it work, but someone who shall remain unnamed kept giving me smart-alec comments about the simple solution. i give up giving suggestions on the topic. sorry.
