Not sure if this is root related but how is this drive utilized? Can it be used to store applications, music, etc? Can this help to save internal phone memory if properly utilized? Any help or direction would be helpful because I feel like I'm sitting on 8gigs for no reason other than because I need more info. Thanks.

Pretty sure you can store anything you'd like there. I've never tried apps, but I keep my movies on it. I would store my music there, but the MiUi Music App I use doesn't read off internal storage. I'm not sure if any other music player does. Never looked into if any others can because I love the MiUi player

if you are using the RA_GNM recovery,you also have the option to flash roms from emmc. i got a 16gb card for mine,so ive not attemped to do so,but the option is there.

thus far,the only thing i use it for is whatever the phone wants to natually store there. at first i had my "notifications" and "ringtones" folder there,but came across a rom that didnt find them there,so ive since moved them to the SD card
