EOL For Incredible?

I just got an email newsletter from VZW. In one part of it, they have a section that says "Spring is in the air. New devices are in full bloom. See newest devices".
One of the 3 phones they have in the section to show the new devices is clearly an Incredible!

Probably an Incredible S or Incredible 2. Our Incredible is indeed EOL. She had a good run though and mine will definitely get me through to the summer of 2012.

Well, there are press releases from Verizon clearly stating the Incredible is End of Life. I don't know what it was you saw then.

It was also rumored (maybe verified by now?) that VZW plans on giving the INC one last update for Gingerbread this summer.

Maybe its just a placeholder then; because the Incredible clearly is NOT going to be available this Spring.

Yup, those are outgoing phones. From let to right, BB Bold 9650, Droid Incredible, and Samsung Fascinate. More than likely, this means deals on those phones on any remaining inventory.

What is the next droid phone that looks good? Obviously, the Incredible 2 looks a little weak. The Thunderbolt reviews have been subpar. Really, I haven't heard of any dual core droid phones coming out. Would be nice to find a phone that is going to be just like the Incredible that would be worth upgrading to in the next year.

Something like this is what I'm heading towards in December when I can upgrade again. 3D Phones are rumored out late fall early winter 2011.
