Epic redesign

If Sprint and Samsung released a Epic 4g without a keyboard and came with a kickstand (Reverse of the EVO shift 4g). Everything else intact, even design, but no keyboard. would you trade in your epic

No. I might as well just get a galaxy s phone from another phone company(Sprint is the only one that has a keyboard) and make my own kickstand.

nope, i love my keyboard! wouldnt change it for the world. If i didnt want a keyboard i would go to the Evo.... Either way i wouldnt change carriers i love me some sprint.

does redesign fix gps?

does redesign include tw 3?

does redesign include 2.2?

do you hope santa brings you a kickstand?

you'd rather have kickstand than any of the above? really?

No. If I wanted a phone with a kickstand and without a keyboard I would have just gotten the Evo. Imo, the EPIC is an awesome (not perfect) phone as is.

I am going to say yes. I never use the keyboard, but the reason I bought the phone was for all the other features (screen, processor and eventually froyo/gingerbread). I personally prefer a one piece unit.

Yes, I absolutely would. If I could change my epic in one way that would be it. I just don't ever use the keyboard so I'd prefer it be more thin. Swype has eliminated all need I had for a keyboard.

Nope. My keyboard comes in handy and I dont know what I'd do without it. A kickstand would be nice, especially for video chatting but I always find something to prop it up with.

I just wanted to see how many people would trade in their epics.

I never said that I did not want a keyboard.

I was just wondering would people trade if they turn the epic into a candy bar phone

no way, i got it because if the keyboard, a kickstand could come from a 3rd party anyway. the one feature i would like from the Evo though is the HDMI support, as I haven't even messed with DLNA. and if the Evo gets 2.3 before we get 2.2 im gonna be really jealous of Evo owners

I picked the Epic over the Evo cause of the keyboard and the processor. Of course, I don't really care that much about 2.2 as the benefits don't really help me that much as I don't need flash, and my battery life is very good. I also don't ever have issues with gps like most people. I have grown to love swype, but smileys(my gf is addicted to them, so I have to use them) and stuff are much easier to access with the keyboard. I use swype for 3 word answers or less, and the keyboard for surfing and longer texts.

I don't think I would ever use a kickstand or the HDMI feature.

Same here. I wish there was a non-sliding version. I saw one of the Galaxy S phones from Verizon that was a 1-piece design and instantly felt jealous. I agree with Inferno, Swype really has minimized the need for a physical keyboard.

P.S. I've been with Sprint for 10 years, so switching carriers isn't an option.

I put up with an old Treo 650 that had a battery that would last no more than 2 minutes of conversation or four texts per day, waiting for the Epic to come out specifically because I wanted a big screen and a keyboard. No way would I make the trade.

I bought the phone specifically for the keyboard. Have no clue how people can stand working in Docs To Go and such using the on screen keyboard and losing all that screen real estate. I find it annoying as hell not to have more reference area and such when I'm typing.
